  1. Past hour
  2. Unfortunately, Drake Maye is the real deal.
  3. The recall was Komarov, not Novikov
  4. He was recalled when Jones was sent down. D'oh! Meant to type Komorov.
  5. Isn't Novikov in Rochester?
  6. And that's 8 healthy/available D for practice with Novikov. Komorov. 🍺
  7. No Byram at practice this AM. He Kulich and Samuelsson are not on the ice
  8. I had to look it up, but 6 D starters injured? With a 7th during the game? If that’s accurate yikes! And then Lamar to boot during the game? I haven’t looked at any Ravens forums yet but that fan base has to be in melt down mode.
  9. fair point.... I think I am gonna put more stock in the Farmers Almanac Hockey predictions based on the flatulence of live stock... just sayin... LOL
  10. Today
  11. Yes, he's still waiver exempt. So, they aren't "sneaking" him down or up.
  12. The Leafs have morphed from the all style and no substance team to a savvy, structured veteran Berube team that doesn't beat itself. But they're going to struggle to score goals when Nylander or Matthews isn't on the ice. They're no gimme, but they're vulnerable. Math demands someone hitting 100 points in the Atlantic, but with Barkov out the entire year and Tkachuk for half, there are no dominant teams in our division.
  13. He’s still waiver exempt, isn’t he? Teams play so many games at this time of the year with the timing of these moves.
  14. There are 18 forwards, and I'm wondering if Meyer is injured or has been because he's a weird keep and we haven't seen a sniff of him. It look slike Ă–stlund, Dunne, Kozak, Geertsen fighting for the final 1 or 2 spots with Greenway injured.
  15. You're right. I miscounted: Byram, Power, Johnson and Bryson are the 4 lefties. Maybe Mule is ready? That would balance things out over 5 pairs.
  16. Kind of surprisng that Komorov is getting brought back up. There was no need to waive him the other day if they were considering keeping him up. Is there another injury to the D that we don't know about? Because with Samuelsson injured, that would give them 9 healthy D on the big roster.
  17. Wait they already have balanced pairs. Dahlin Kesselring Timmins Mrtka Are all on the right
  18. If that's a battle, move Johnson to Siberia I think Johnson is already better than Bryson
  19. Could definitely see FLA missing the playoffs if they get just 1 or 2 more LT injuries to KEY players. Until the Loafs miss the playoffs, won't expect it. Though they MAY take a step back to upper 90s, very low 100's with their latest moves and Tavares being even 1 more year older. But BOTH of them dropping all the way to sub-90? NFW.
  20. The Jones Komarov switch may literally be just to balance the pairs and give them 4 righties. It looks like a Johnson/Bryson battle for #7
  21. This appears to be the current roster, soon to be minus the cuts above. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/roster
  22. Novikov is better
  23. The Tuch contract situation is not an unusual situation. All teams confront the issue of giving a long-term contract to a high yield player in his prime recognizing that the player will be less productive on the backside of the contract. There's nothing novel about that situation that happens in all pro sports. What a well-run franchise does in advance is having a plan to replace the player if it comes down to that. That's not where this stolid organization is currently at. A season-long contract issue for a core player is not going to help this struggling franchise move forward. It will be a distraction for a team that needs its full attention to compete for a playoff spot. In contract negotiations, sometimes the organization has more leverage than the player; and sometimes the player has more leverage. In my view, the player has more leverage in this case. If that's the case, then the organization has to accept that reality and be more willing to accommodate in the negotiation. The Sabres have been out of the playoffs for a generation. That's a disgrace and a tribute to its systemic ineptitude. This deal needs to get done sooner rather than later. My position is not to get too fixated about the value of the backside of the contract and be more focused on the present. A Sabre team minus Tuch is a demonstrably lesser team. When you have earned your way to be recognized as a clown organization your focus of attention should be on the now.
  24. Common sense, and the law, wins out. Interesting to note that the three judge panel were all Biden appointees.
  25. This game against the Patriots is absolutely huge. Big opportunity to create separation from every team in the division. The Drake Maye love in Boston seems very premature. Would be nice if the Bills d steps up and drops a soul crushing on the New England spirit.
