  1. Past hour
  2. Think Power showed the game he is capable of against Ottawa. Fast, aggressive, physical. Had not seen that from him before. Would give him a season or two to get stronger and smarter to develop that game. It’s in there if he decides to be that player. If Power turns out to be nothing more than a weak D offensive D man who will score 20+ goals, would let a new GM trade him while he still has draft pedigree promise for a skater of equal goal scoring value with proven compete, will to win, and Cup experience.
  3. Getting jiggy with it gonna hit so hard as his goal song I’m dubious as to what websites are making these “recommendations”. Sounds click baity.
  4. Tage and Tuch are notorious slow starters. Let’s not finalize any opinions on who these guys are now.
  5. A lot of talk about Jack Quinn's game here, so I thought this was interesting... Since the start of Last season: Jack Quinn vs Ottawa: 5 games, 5 goals, 1 assist, +5 (82 game pace of 82 goals, 16 assists, +82) Quinn vs everyone else: 75 games, 12 goals, 24 assists, -24 (82 game pace, 13.5 goals, 27 assists, -27) Trade him to Ottawa and convince them its worth it so they don't have to face him anymore.
  6. It's a very intriguing strength for both teams to swap. Sort of fills a need for SJ long term with a "potential" #1 defensemen and Buffalo can nab at worst a 2nd line center with potential for more.
  7. Now there's a very interesting idea
  8. I guess my post isn’t winning any Oscars, eh. my jokes land less than Hancock did with the critics
  9. Makes sense. I can agree w/ that sentiment for sure Thorny. It's the type of player we'd "like" to get I guess, is a better statement.
  10. All I got from that was that Mike Augello doesn’t know how to use a microphone.
  11. You're conflating can't draft with "Risto wasn't awful"
  12. I highly doubt Adams has the ability to pull off a trade like that. Whatever deal he does make will probably just be something he Slaps together last minute
  13. If Terry cared at all, he'd fire Adams, dismiss Ruff and every assistant. Hire Jarmo and move into something the complete opposite of this nonsense.
  14. Today
  15. I'd easily move him for a solid two or one line center. A lot of recommendations elsewhere bring up Will Smith.
  16. Perfectly said. Simple, straight forward, and the stink around it, has only gotten worse. A few of the moves have worked, but the stagnant inability to get ahead of things, and only react is your problem here.
  17. He’s a playmaker for me An Eichel-like player if you will Yes, we need another playmaker lol
  18. This team is 6 months away from the 4th rebuild.
  19. I’ve long felt we’ve needed an Alpha like a DeBoer to fix this. Somebody who doesn’t need the job, but wants the job, because they want the damn challenge. A little bit of ego here wouldn’t go amiss. “Alright, I’ll f*ckin do it.” Someone lacking the fear, who understands the further, substantial increase in status they’ll get by being “the guy to resurrect the Sabres.” I’ve always felt we needed that fellow at GM. A coach wouldn’t be a bad start
  20. Only works if they fire Adams and all the coaches too. Let Ruff move into whatever made up advisory role needed to save face.
  21. I think we need a legitimate 1C. Norris is a talented player but injuries make him unreliable. I’d say add Norris to the “should we trade” category. And….. Tuch. Between those three I think we could get two top six forwards and a second pair defenseman. If we have to throw in a draft pick then ok. OP would do well on a team that has foundational physicality. Kind of like how Eichel does well where he doesn’t have to be the leader, he just plays. Similarly OP could just be an offensive forward. I think both the Sabres and OP would benefit from trading him to the right team.
  22. didn't we get a "middle 6 C" for Savoie? A rando midget prospect?
  23. Hockey media’s best known NHL Insider states “the Sabres” have discussed Pete DeBoer, who is, I think, still regarded as one of the league’s best coaches, and certainly is by far the most highly regarded coach available. Seems like something I should be more excited about.
  24. I wouldn't let Kevyn execute another moves.
  25. I think Zach Benson is what you're describing. Tage doesn't go to the slot often enough and tends to take perimeter shots.
  26. One of the main reasons Kevyn should've been fired is the idea of him making a horrible ill advised trade like Power for a middle six quality center in a desperate attempt to save his job.
