Big Guava Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Apparently Hughes had a piece of glass pierced his hand at a team dinner and had to have surgery on a finger that will keep him out about 8 weeks... Guess the Sabres aren't the only team dealing with weird injuries... At least Norris had his injury happen on the ice! https://pucksandpitchforks.com/new-jack-hughes-injury-update-could-provide-a-sliver-of-hope Edited 14 hours ago by Big Guava Quote
Pimlach Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Bad news for him. Real good player. Wonder if this will impact his Olympic participation? Quote

To my knowledge, the handful of expected Team USA players that are injured should all be back in time. Matthew Tkachuk is the biggest maybe. 1 Quote
tom webster Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Hughes isn’t the only “freak” injury, Luostaren injured himself during a barbecue as well. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago From reading the article (which reads like it’s AI generated?), it sounds like there’s hope he’ll return sooner. Great player. I wish him well. 58 minutes ago, tom webster said: Hughes isn’t the only “freak” injury, Luostaren injured himself during a barbecue as well. Leads me to wonder if these guys were “over-served” at these team meals. 1 Quote

Possibly, although I've had a glass shatter just sitting on the table.. sometimes strange stuff just happens. Quote
