IMO, if the Sabres are mired in the bottom third of the league next season there is going to be a portion of this fan base that are going to be focused on the stud of the 2016 draft class wanting the Sabres to dump veterans and take a run at whomever the 2016 top pick is projected to be. I'm not in favor of this at all, just to be clear. I'm just interested in how the 2015 "tankers" will react to the 2016 "tankers." There's less incentive to tank going forward because finishing last only guarantees that you'll pick no worse than 4th and in most years the person that gets picked 4th isn't ready to play in the NHL right away anyway. Much harder to get excited about a guy who likely won't even be in Rochester for 2 years and even more difficult to root for losses to get such a guy.
