Taro T
Last year they had it in Rochester too. But as far as the NHL & MSG are concerned, Ra-cha-cha IS Buff-lo. So it doesn't really help the 'true' out of towners.

Taro T
So I'm assuming DirecTV customers are out of luck on this one? Not if you live in Buff-lo or Ra-cha-cha. <_<
spndnchz
So I'm assuming DirecTV customers are out of luck on this one? I have no idea. It's not showing up in the guide for TWC either. Just have to check channels 700 and MSG channels at 8 I guess.
bills_fan_in_raleigh
Just a reminder on why I miss Empire Sports Network, truely committed to covering Buffalo Sports and was available on sports tier of Directv
wallybarthman
Not if you live in Buff-lo or Ra-cha-cha. <_< Are you sure? It's not listed anywhere in the DirecTV guide - regardless of where you live.
Taro T
Are you sure? It's not listed anywhere in the DirecTV guide - regardless of where you live. As Chz mentioned, it isn't listed for TWC either. Last year the games ended up on DTV in Buff/Roch. I don't recall if they were listed prior to the 1st one showing up but they did get shown. Would be very surprised if they don't show up in WNY; would also be very surprised if they show up anywhere else.

PASabreFan
These repeats are airing on the alternate MSG channel, 638 maybe, right? Not MSG The Mothership?
spndnchz
These repeats are airing on the alternate MSG channel, 638 maybe, right? Not MSG The Mothership? I'd think so too. Regular MSG is showing the US Open. I doubt they'd play over that. So 4 TWC it's prolly channel 700. Frantic searching at 8:00 and 1 second. lol. spndnchz
regular MSG channel 28 non-Hi-def. This sucks.
Taro T
Were they on 638? They were last year. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing it on 638 currently. Sorry.
Steve Phillips
Looking on all the channels on DirecTV and nothing is showing. Guess we are out of luck.........
ROC Sabres
regular MSG channel 28 non-Hi-def. This sucks. Better than nothing. Watching this now, I'm really gonna miss Kennedy. He was a hard nosed little sh!t full of piss and vinegar. His stats weren't worth the money but I still liked his game.
wallybarthman
regular MSG channel 28 non-Hi-def. This sucks. That was an away game that was broadcast in SD originally.
PASabreFan
My DTV channel 635 had "Summer Ice," but it was an Islander-Devil game. Why don't DTVers in Sabres territory get these classic games? I ask again. Why does this always have to be so complicated?
nobody
I ask again. Why does this always have to be so complicated? Not too complicated - the Sabres local station is in NYC.
PASabreFan
Not too complicated - the Sabres local station is in NYC. Not really. But I think the Sabres like to pretend they're on MSG. Which confuses people like me. sabres.com said their classic games from last season would be on MSG. Naturally, I tuned in to MSG last night and got boxing. Would it have been too much for them to explain that the classic games would be on an MSG alternate channel available only to cable viewers in their territory? What they need to say is simply that these will be Time Warner exclusive broadcasts. The problem it seems to me rests between MSG and DirecTV since MSG isn't the same in all nine of its broadcasting zones since it covers to many teams that are under different territorial rules. I echo an earlier comment that we really miss Empire Sports Network - stuff like this wouldn't happen then.
