  1. OK. 3 more and they're at "official" .500; 4 more and they're at the much more meaningful DeLuca .500. I'm pleased to say that I'll be having a huge steak dinner on Sunday evening and then attending the game. Wearing my Miller jersey. My first GDT of this year, and of the Rolston era. Go Sabres.
  2. Is the dream alive? Have the Sabres turned a corner after sweeping their two-game road trip through the state of Florida? They're now 2-2 under new coach Ron Rolston, who will take a second shot at his first home win at First Niagara Center, where Buffalo is a woeful 3-6-1 this season.
  3. Can the Sabres pull off the South Florida sweep? Panthers pulled off a big win Tuesday against the Pens scoring 6 goals while going 4 for 7 on the PP. Florida's rookies have been carrying the team. Drew Shore and Johnathan Huberdeau are both in the top 6 in team scoring, Huberdeau is 2nd in the league for rookie scoring. Peter Mueller is turning out to be a signing well worth the risk due to his past injuries. Not sure if Clemmensen or Theodore will be in net, rumors have it Theodore is being shopped but he got pulled last game and Clemmensen shut down the Pens in the 3rd for the win. Jacob Markstrom is the future, he'll be called up as soon as a spot opens up. Sabres are 8-5-1 in Florida since the last lockout, 4-1-1 in the last 6. It's my first GDT so let's make it worth it. Go Sabres!
  4. Speaking of which, I have two tickets but cannot go. PM me if you want them.
  5. Off to Broad Street for the Sabres tonight. They have 6 points in there last 4 games and Philly has bounced back from their losing streak as well. I will miss this one as I will be seeing Star Wars and getting my inner and outer nerd on tonight
  6. Ahem.... YOOOUUUUU'RREEEEE BUFFALO SABRES ARE BACK IN ACTION TONIGHT AND READY TO RUMBLE AGAINST THE LOWLEY (LOWELY?) BEAURCRATIC ###### THAT ARE THE OTTAWA SENATORS Buffalo looks to bounce back after a tough but resilient road trip that saw them go 1-0-2 in which Robin Lehner couldn't get his head far enough out of his own ass to stop 70 shots in a game and Jack Eichel held off on buying himself a set of legos because Santa is right around the corner, and nobody can tell him he's not real I'll post the lineups tomorrow
  7. I don't think even people in Saint Louis are going to bother with this one.
  8. Yoooooouuuuuuuurrrr new-look Sabres take on the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night! Will addition by subtraction be a thing? Will Scott Wilson play? Will we care? Is this the wakeup call the Sabres need? Find out the answers to these and other questions. Tune in late, stay late, have trouble getting up for work Wednesday! And since the Sabres are pretty much a lost cause already this year, check out this picture of the Avs ice girls.
  9. Um.... Here's what you need to know. With a win tonight, the Sabres will have won the season series between the teams for the second consecutive year. A win would also give the Sabres wins in three consecutive home games against the Flyers for the first time since Oct. 17, 2006 to Dec. 21, 2007. Eichel enters tonight's game on a career-best 10-game point streak (3+10). It's the longest active streak in the NHL and the longest by a Sabre since Tim Connolly tallied points in 16 straight from Dec. 23, 2009 to Jan. 25, 2010. In the time since his Nov. 29 return from an injury that sidelined him for 21 games, Eichel is tied for 10th among all NHL skaters with 42 points (16+26) and leads the league with 185 shots on goal. Eichel's .93 points per game this season rank him 14th among all players with at least 20 games played this season. Kane has 18 points (11+7) in his last 20 games, including nine goals in his last 13. Risto has a point in 11 of his last 16 games (1+10). O'Reilly has recorded six points (3+3) during his current four-game point streak. (That is all from the Game Notes, courtesy of our friends at @SabresPR.)
