  1. I am rapidly losing all interest in watching this uninspiring team. It's the same ###### we've been fed for years and years and years, like the hockey version of that Groundhog Day movie. Ruff and Regier need to have been sent packing long ago.
  2. Remember when the Foligno-Ennis-Stafford line used to score goals? That was awesome.
  3. Myers has been nothing short of a disgrace since his rookie year. It's time for him to start living up to his contract.
  4. The new owner has stated that the sole purpose of this franchise is to win Stanley Cups, not make money. Sending Grigs down won't help with his hockey development, nor will it help the Sabres win more games. Someone please tell me whose valuable roster spot is being taken up by Grigs...Matt Ellis? Luke Adam? Give me a break.
  5. I'm predicting a 4-3 OT shootout win for the good guys. This one's gonna be huge, WNY, huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!
  6. Not only do I fully expect all current members of this ###### "core" (Miller, Vanek, Pominville, Roy, Stafford) to remain, but I also fully expect Regier to have Gaustad return. And I also fully expect the '12-'13 season to be a sixth straight one where the team doesn't advance past the first round of the playoffs. If your PhD was in Regierology, you would already know that Darcy fundamentally hates change. Apparently, so does Terry.
  7. I think this team actually looks pretty good when you remove Roy and Stafford and make a few key additions: Miller Enroth Myers - Regehr McNabb - Ehrhoff Weber - Sekera Leopold Vanek - Hodgson - Pominville Leino - Ennis - NEW PLAYER Gerbe - Adam - NEW PLAYER Foligno - GAUSTAD - Tropp McCormick - Kaleta Basically: re-sign Gaustad, add a couple of tough talented right wingers with size, draft well this year, stay healthy, and BAM! Instant Stanley Cup.
  8. If you have a chance to draft a franchise QB and you don't currently have one on the roster, then you do it. Nix would be foolish to pass on Luck, Griffin, or Barkley. Having said that, all 3 are expected to be gone by the time the Bills are on the clock with the 7th or 8th pick.
  9. We last made the playoffs in 1999, so your list should have begun with 2000's epic selection of Erik Flowers. We stick with Fitz if we can't draft Luck, Griffin, or Barkley in the first round.
  10. Probably not, but that doesn't diminish my point that Bills fans in the U.S. will not continue to support the franchise if they relocate to Toronto. If Toronto wants the Bills, they are on their own. And they will need to support them better than they do the Blue Jays, Raptors, and Argonauts because NFL stadiums are 65,000+ seats large.
  11. This franchise will lose 95% of their U.S. fanbase the instant they become the Toronto Bills.
  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_franchise_post-season_droughts Awful....... It's time for Ralph Wilson to step down and sell his team to an ownership group that will keep them in Buffalo.
  13. Just a complete choke job. Stevie Johnson and that defensive maven, George Edwards, lost us this game. Titans and Bengals also won, so the season is all but mathematically over now. TWELVE straight seasons without the playoffs. The Sabres have missed the playoffs twelve times in their entire existence. The Bills franchise could use a little Terry Pegula magic right now.
  14. THEY ARE NOT GOOD. Simple as that. Not good enough physically and certainly not good enough mentally.
  15. How many wins constitutes "their share?" I think a lot of fans - and perhaps the entire Sabres roster - doesn't fully grasp how bad their playoff situation is right now. Seven points back in itself isn't outrageous if you're a team like the Penguins or the Caps. The Sabres, however, don't have the talent and the intestinal fortitude to maintain a regular season winning pace needed to overcome that kind of point deficit. Just putting together 3 straight wins has been an impossible task thus far for these losers. It's great that the rookies are learning lessons from their mistakes, but the expectations for the 2010-11 Sabres was supposed to be advancing past the first round of the playoffs, not getting the young guys experience while we struggle to reach .500 hockey. The silver lining around this season, for me at least, is the introduction to Terry Pegulla. The sooner the Status Quo Quartet (Golisano, Quinn, Regier, Ruff) is eliminated from the picture, the sooner the Sabres can begin getting serious about the Stanley Cup. Not re-signing Connolly, Stafford, and Rivet means $10.3 million to use on a couple star forwards who can score clutch goals and help restore the dynamics of the locker room that left with the BIG TWO in the summer of 2007.
  16. Exactly. Boston is sitting in the 8th spot at the moment with 31 pts.
  17. This game has the feeling of another Tim Thomas shutout. He's been amazing all year, and we...well...we have Gerbe and Pominville as top 6 forwards.
  18. Nice to see the Sabres make me look like an idiot. Could this weekend be the beginning of a long march to the playoffs? We are currently 6 points behind the 6th-8th place teams. It's doable.
  19. Let's see...second game of a back-to-back....playing Ottawa in Ottawa...gee I wonder how this one is going to turn out...
  20. Lalime should definitely play more of the 1st games in back-to-backs and let Miller try to carry these losers in the 2nd games.
  21. As hard as I've been on Lalime in this thread, the rest of the team needs to score more than 1 ###### goal against the Lightning. Come ###### on....
  22. 9-24-5, actually. Soon to be 9-25-5. Impressive.
  23. I knew it. I ###### knew it. Dude never wins a game. Enroth needs to be our back up. Lalime needs to retire.
