  1. Well a Sabres loss is all but official now. I can't remember the last time the Sabres won with Lalime. Nor can I remember the last time the Sabres won both games in a back-to-back.
  2. They better be in survival mode right now. We're already a quarter of the way through the season, and the Sabres have the 4th worst record in the league in terms of points-per-game (only ahead of the Islanders, Devils, and Oilers). Nice to finally get a regulation win, but they still need to come out with a sense of urgency against TB tomorrow night.
  3. The numbering wasn't meant to be a ranking, just a list off the top of my head of Sabres players that shouldn't be here next season.
  4. I am being quite realistic. Lalime sucks balls. I don't care if the team is 150% behind him. This team is 150% behind Connolly, too. Replace Lalime with Enroth.
  5. I'll start the list: 1. Lalime 2. Rivet 3. Grier 4. Niedermayer 5. Connolly Luckily for us, all 5 are UFA's this offseason. The first 4 should retire immediately. Connolly will probably bounce around the league for a few more years.
  6. Way too much optimism flowing in this thread. Bottom line is that the team didn't show up at the start of the game, and it affected the final outcome: a regulation loss. Same will be said about the season. Team fails to show up in the first quarter of the season (only 3 regulation wins in 20 tries, with the last regulation win almost a full month ago), and it will likely affect the final outcome: no playoffs.
  7. It's the middle of November. I sure would like to see a Buffalo pro sports team win a home game by now.
  8. ###### terrible. This team will not have won a single ###### home game in all of October.
  9. The fans are lifeless because they know this team isn't making the playoffs this year. Frigging terrible on-ice product at home yet again.
  10. FWIW, Rangers smoked the Bruins tonight, 6-1, in Boston. Not sure how that will affect tomorrow night's game.
  11. Just my opinion... This isn't your typical losing skid in a long season. Maybe it took the rest of the NHL 1.5 seasons to figure us out, but I think they now have. And the old school refs are letting them get away with it.
  12. Who the hell is Andrew Alberts? According to espn.com, Mr. Alberts got 5 minutes for fighting. EDIT: Nevermind. Ignore this post. At first I thought they meant to say Andrew Peters and f'ed up..
  13. That...or the rest of the league has now finally figured out how to slow down our offense. Belak called our team out as a bunch of pu$$ies who can be muscled around, and so far we are not responding well.
  14. ...neither am I, but at the same time....curious if anyone knows how Adam Dennis is doing?
  15. I'll answer my own question and say maybe tonight??? Chris Druuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuury! :w00t:
  16. Yeah really, what an embarrasing team response to Belak's comments. BTW, when's the last time we saw the Sabres make a third period comeback? I can't remember...
  17. How SWEEP it is! I can't wait for Saturday night's game against Craplanta. It's nice to see the Sabres come alive again for this home game stretch.
  18. Didn't see the game at all, but just saw the result. Piss poor. I hate how this team tends to play down to their opponents' level. Should we just assume this is a typical mid-season slump (Nashville game exception), and that we'll kick it up a few notches for the late season playoff push? Or is the rest of the league starting to figure out how to stop us? Not trying to get all apocalyptic on everyone...just curious on your thoughts...
  19. I'm not able to watch this game on TV, but I've been following on-line. What's wrong with the team tonight? And why do we suck so bad against Ottawa in the regular season? On the verge of going 1-3 vs. the Sens...
  20. Spacek is out!? This team just seems way too injury prone..
