It's a little scary but I believe it's time. Punch Imlach was the best GM/Coach this team has ever had and that was at the beginning. I remember a quote from him to Perreault and Martin. He told them not to worry about playing defense. Just put the puck in the net! You would never hear a coach say that today.

It's both Regier and Ruff's fault. They are the 2 constants the past 16 years and it's time for a change. No matter what moves are made this team is below average at best.

Another poster mentioned Tallinder and Lydman. These 2 were solid D-Men and Myers played his best with Tallinder.

I've wanted him replaced for a while but I have no say in it. What don't you get?

Shouldn't matter where the game is. Their job is to play hockey a few times a week. No excuse to not at least play hard and give an effort.

You're smart enough to already know this. It's why I don't get upset at strikes and lockouts. If there's no games I obviously don't watch. if there's games I watch. I never take it personally and always get a good laugh when owners/players say what great fans we are. They really don't care.

I think Regier and Ruff have had enough time to build a successful team here. Time to move on.

He needs to learn the NHL. Going back to Juniors won't help.

Agree . He needs to get better with NHL competition. Sending back to Juniors and have him dominate there does not help his development as a Pro.

Exactly. That's why Dudley and Gare were two of my favorite Sabres. 40-50 goals and toughest players on the ice.

I have been told that Sylvester is a kiss ass. Paul doesn't feel he will get the job full time when RJ retires for that reason.

Paul is a friend of mine and he does have extensive play calling over his career. I think last year was the first time he did it in the NHL.

I think Ellis goes to the bench and the line tinkering had much to do with the number of penalties.

He was, along with the rest of the league. How can they be tired? 1st game of the season, game over by 4p, 45 minute flight to Buffalo, dinner and a good nights sleep. I don't get how they would be tired.
