Maybe, but so did 2 Linesmen too then...are they not allowed to advise the refs of such infractions? I don't see how 4 sets of eyes can miss something so obvious. If they all missed it, then they should not be in the NHL.

We stole two points in Florida yesterday. Even if we lose tonight, I'll still call it a good trip as long as SOMEBODY on this team shows some backbone and dishes out some punishment for Dahlin's hit. This team is too easy to play against, no fear whatsoever!
-
I'd like to see Ralph blow a gasket with the refs here...not the worst thing to show a little emotion for an obvious missed call!
-
Unfortunately, so has the PK. Must have been a package deal.....always better if you bundle!
-
Because our D-men can't seem to keep the crease clear...whether because they aren't strong enough or being coached not to.
-
Now would be a real nice time to break the special team's bad cycle....at least no Stamkos out there launching one-timers.

Is there a league metric, factor or analytic for shooting WIDE? Buffalo may be tough to beat!

Turn the clock back and change the equipment. Reduce the size and thickness of padding (remember old school shoulder pads?) and get rid of helmets. May have to tinker with the sticks as well to reduce mph on shots. Less armor to discourage the hitting and encourage more skating. Get rid of the instigator rule too Call Keller and Keller Seriously though, until the players themselves collectively agree that it is not acceptable, no rule change will completely and fairly address this problem.

It depends on what lens you look through. If people want a two-way player and/or a more gritty type player, then no....Jack will never be elite. IMHO, he is an elite TALENT, meaning he can take over a game (when he wants go) with his gifts. Would I like to see him have a more constant motor....sure, but only elite players have the ability to take matters into their own hands to change a game....and he is legit. If Jack had more tools to work with and/or another scoring line to take the pressure off him, he'd already have 100+ seasons already and this would not be a question.

I liked what I saw from him as well. I actually started thinking about a scenario where he was paired with Eichel and Skinner, where he could maybe bring some defensive ability to compliment the other two. Part of that thinking is still my own stubborn preference to see Eichel and Skinner back together.

Devante Stephens traded to Tampa (for reasons)

Can he play forward...is that the plan? (just kidding) -
I love it when Buffalo scores while Yandle is on the ice!

Negative, negative. It didn't go in. It just impacted on the surface.....wait nevermind, Vesey missed to whole damm Deathstar

Personally, he needs to first go to the Vita-Ray chamber or whatever the heck the machine was that turned little Steve Rogers into Captain America. He teenage body needs to become a man. Maybe then he can compete and win some battles.

Dreger on Botterill: "Open to Just About Anything"

R2 has been known to make mistakes.....from time to time. -
He would provide no immediate help....he's on LTIR. No thanks!

I am not convinced he will be fine. I would prefer seeing him included in a package deal to get a real 2C. I don't think he will make much of an impact for the rest of this season, so nothing lost. JB will not send him to Rochester, but even if he did that means we get no contribution this year. Hopefully next year Cozens can be in the lineup as our 3C.

I am not referring to Buffalo itself for the very reasons you mention in your first point. I am saying that it may have something to do with your second point about working for the Pegulas. Seymour is no longer in charge. Going back to an earlier post from somebody else....I don't think someone like Lou Lamoriello would consider it. Again, it's not the city itself, but the ownership (despite the deep pockets).

Okay, but let's also not assume that top level GM's and/or coaches want a job in Buffalo either. Money may not be the issue, but it seems like the only ones who want the jobs are those unproven ones who can't get the same opportunity with other teams.
-
I don't have any data, but it seems like a fair number of former players end up living here when their playing days are over. If there's any truth to that, then there must be something about the area that they like.
-
Sadly, I have to wonder whether the effort would be the same even if the team was healthy. Worthless and weak is now ingrained in too many players now.
-
Yup...and on Thursday we play Boston, where there is never a lack of moxie....jealous!
-
We may not win this game, but this could still be pivotal as the time where Jack walked the walk and showed the rest of the guys that this really is his team. Everybody expects him to score, but how about getting dirty tonight and don't forget how he consoled Dahlin when he got benched.
-
I prefer the angry versions of Dahlin and now Jack. We saw angry Jimmy and I like that too. Heck, how about angry Casey next?
-
I didn't see that coming....good for Jack!
