Imagine a team with those guys all in their prime! Plenty of great enforcers (Playfair, James, McGuire, Hartman, Schultz, etc.), tough but talented wingers (Foligno, Paiement), Skilled centers with a net front presence (Andreychuk), centers who could win face-off (Peterson), Defensemen who could SHOOT (Boxy)....Not a bad looking team!

I think it makes sense to see if he is even able to perform as an above average player in the AHL, let alone NHL. If he can't excel at that level, then I think we'll have our answer with regards to his ability to be a difference maker in future.

I don't doubt it. At the same time, given the state of our PP right now, I would not mind seeing an addition that could improve the second PP unit. It would be nice if we had two legit PP groups capable of scoring...maybe even create a little competition between them in an ideal state (which we are far from still).

Rochester is best for now, but would like to see him as part of a package deal to get a 2C or RW who can help us now. I do not think Casey will ever become a bonafide top 6 player in this league.

This....I know this is a UFA thread, but I agree the best way to address 2C is by trade, not UFA signing. Going UFA will likely mean somebody past their prime looking for an above market salary.

All of them except Larsson. I think the rest will leave by their own choice if they are still on our roster at the end of the season.

No...they're trying to save money on sticks....so the less shots they take, the less stick's they'll break. Doing great so far....just 4 SOG in the 2nd and another 4 SOG in the 3rd as of a minute ago.

While we're at it, I like Montour better on the right side. IMHO he is more effective from that side.

Isn't this sad that we are researching what counts as a SOG? It was so low that we are looking for scraps to possibly move the number to something higher that what we can count on one hand.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but 3 PP's and NO SOG for all three combined. As far as special teams, our coaching is in over their heads here and management will probably do nothing. Our goaltending and offense in general is not good enough overcome being -1 or -2 each game because of crappy special teams.

2 SOG's so far this period? How do you expect to keep a lead or win a game being that passive. Geez, shoot the puck!
