A proactive GM understands that injuries are part of this game. Shame on JBot for building a team so incredibly thin at center and RW to start the season. He had no contingency for this kind of situation. He is an idiot if he thinks that Jack, Mojo, whoever will play a full 82 games.

I don't think a successful PK will matter. Philly has already scored enough goals to win this game.

Looks like Mojo promoted to the first line C. Maybe this will get him going.

Philly's defenses are designed around a direct large-scale assault. A small one-man Eichel should be able to penetrate the outer defense.

I would argue Mojo has not had it since he returned to the lineup. He does not look like the same player from early in the season. And since he's our supposed best 2C, anybody see a problem here?

Sorry, but don't see that happening, especially with his new contract. The coaching staff refuses to put him into a position to be successful, which is with a good center, whether it be Jack or whoever. Pairing Skinner with Erod is not a recipe for success. He's proven goal scorer when coupled with a decent center.

What I hope to see in the 3rd: 1. Jack gets a point 2. Somebody on Buffalo gets pissed and takes it out on a Leaf 3. Kruger finally puts Skinner back with Eichel 4. Sabre's management and coaching get shocked back into reality that this roster still has glaring needs

I really don't like Toronto, but that's me. Watching these two teams playing each other now is such a disappointment vs. the longstanding rivalry intensity we saw in the past. No emotion, no intensity, just two teams playing like they're just going thru the motions.

I expect another crap officiating job tonight. Our PK may be busy while our PP get's little work this evening.

I don't dislike Casey, but I am not convinced he can be a bonafide top 6 forward in the NHL If he can't impress in Rochester, then I say he is a similar bust to Nylander and that all we can hope for is a reasonable trade.

Agreed, hard to find anything that makes sense about that trade scenario. If we move Scandella, it better be for a younger forward.

Yes, the officiating was crap today...I hope there is still some review of Barzal's penalty though....I think it deserves a hearing.....but to your point, probably won't happen.

He needs an effective center to work with, which unfortunately is in short supply on this team.

Unfortunate ending....but this team needs to have more options than just Jack....they're riding that horse too hard (24 minutes ice time) and it leads to things like that give away. They need to have other options to keep Jack fresher.
