  1. Not surprising for two reasons: 1. Nobody wants our pending FA trash 2. We have no forward depth so we would have to deplete Rochester, who in turn will have to rob from Cincinnati
  2. Wear your rubber suit tomorrow. Sorry, but remember we have JNOT at the helm.
  3. Sticks made in China....no wonder they break so much! How about make them play with a good ol' Victoriaville, Koho or Sherwood.
  4. I'm so glad we have those mobile puck-moving defensemen.
  5. Perhaps, but I would say it would be a much more entertaining team to watch if they were near the top. I can watch a team that shows some heart and aggression, even if they lose. I can't stand watching this current team of pansies. Initiating hits helps to bring life to the arena and that can help energize the players.
  6. In my mind, Dahlin will be as good (if not better) than Phil Housley offensively and will also become more responsible in the defensive zone. I don't foresee him becoming the ace shut-down type, but he'll be fine.
  7. I agree with this assessment. The cupboard as mentioned by somebody else is pretty bare and offers very little quality top 6 caliber players. The problem is that this organization will force them to play top 6 because they don't have anybody better. As far as JBot's plan, my fear is that he'll try to restock the vacancies with either other bottom 6 players from other teams and/or possibly re-sign some of the current roster players that aren't getting the job done now. Either way, it's not going to fill the void of true top 6 talent. I really wish ownership would take away the keys from JBot before he is trusted with one of the largest off-season makeovers we'll ever see...as he is drunk on soft and heartless players.
  8. I would do Montour for Kapanen. Still has two years after this season under contract at a reasonable price. Would be an instant upgrade on RW whereas we have other options on D. Something that drives me nuts is how our coaching staff puts Montour on the left D side anyway....he needs to be on the right side.
  9. So glad he stockpiled those D-men so that he could convert them into other valuable assets.........not.
  10. It is nauseating to watch how many times players on this so-called hockey team "bail-out" by stopping and/or spinning to avoid contact with an opposing player. Too timid and small to engage and try to win some battles.
  11. How refreshing to see Rochester players (Sean Malone, others) stick up for their teammate (Cornel) when the Crunch deliver a cheap shot in the neutral zone. I appreciate what Ric Seiling calls old time hockey. Compare that to Buffalo's response yesterday when Risto was taking on 3 Canadians by himself.
  12. Murray is huge! Just wish he had NHL vs. AHL skills.
  13. Amerks PP looks better than the Sabres. Wilson has 3 pts already (2G, 1A)
  14. I'll say this...he got good hands....showed a little speed there as well.
  15. While on the PP, Mitts turns the puck over, Crunch come back an score a shorty on UPL. Mitts still trying to play pond hockey.
  16. Might as well start practicing my golf swing....it's going to be a long off-season.
  17. Agreed. We need a proven and established hockey Czar / President whose presence can send a signal to the rest of the league that Buffalo means business now. Somebody that other teams and players might think, okay they're serious now! Kinda of like those "Keller and Keller" commercials ?
  18. Ralph is answering the questions, but he has no real answers to getting this team turned around.
  19. Two games into the critical and winnable home stand.....I say put up the "for sale" sign now. Let's see how Ralph tries to spin this one....better effort? better start? Hutton played well? KO injury impact? blah-blah-blah
  20. Hmmmm....maybe Ralph will figure it out that Skinner + Jack can work!
  21. KO's last shift was with 6:50 left in the first period. He had minor incidental contact with a Montreal player in front of Hutton and went down, but got right back up. At 6:15, he carried the puck into the Montreal zone along the boards and ran into a Montreal player, but again just minor contact with the wall. He skated back out of the zone when Montreal got possession and then went to the bench with his linemates. I didn't see anything that looked he got his bell rung.
  22. 2000's night coming in February...management better get that next jersey order to China....need to allow an extra week due to the Corona virus.
