Would Pegula have the guts to participate in the ceremony? Part of me thinks he wants to avoid the potential embarrassment from fans if he were introduced (vs. watching from the suite). Wouldn’t it be great if the fans shouted in unison to sell the team and fire Kevyn.

JJP is definitely part of the problem and not contributing anything. Maybe some addition by subtraction in terms of having him sit out a game or two? I could be more forgiving if he showed some flash and speed, but he’s been a big nothing burger for a while now.

One of my favorite crazy scenarios would be for Buffalo getting beat by another team’s emergency goalie.

So in two consecutive games….Buffalo scores an ENG without taking a shot and then the other team score an ENG by the opposing netminder. Leave it to the Sabres to be involved in unique, head scratching situations.

He was still under contract on a long term deal…..so NO, they didn’t have to trade him. I like Tuch, but I’d rather have Eichel…..even though he wasn’t the most likable guy.

???? How so? He didn’t have to trade Eichel and we have nothing to show for in the Samson trade…at least on the current Sabre roster.

How does Marty Wilford have a job…..isn’t his role to coach the defense and the PK? Will this team fire somebody….anybody?!?!

Are you including the EIchel and Reinhardt trades in your assessment? Seems like we lost both of those badly. Adams should have already been fired, but I am skeptical that stubborn Pegula will actually fire him. I do agree that a RHD vet is a key piece missing that Adams clearly failed to do.

OK, maybe….but there’s going after somebody like you’re shot out of a cannon and then there’s going after somebody like Muel did….basically in slow motion.

What a bunch of wimps….your goalie gets hit and nobody does a damm thing….Muel, Dahlin, etc. did nothing afterwards. No heart, no balls, nobody cares

He is an average goalie on a fair contract, that is it. You’re missing my point, which is that he has to be an OUTSTANDING goalie for this team to be good. Yes the defense sucks….which is why only an outstanding goalie can keep saving their bacon to steal games on a regular basis.

His stats are not impressive. Sure he has an occasional great game, but too often he is just average at best. He needed to stop that breakaway. Yes the defense sucks, but being just an average goalie is not good enough for this team to become a contender….he has to be GREAT for that to happen.

How is that a penalty when Joki was stationary and Malkin came into him?!?!

Cozens has had multiple chances to finish his checks along the boards, but simply disengages….not a new problem, but still disappointing to see.
