  1. The equipment guys need to find Mule some good ol' Craig Ludwig shin guards. Hope they can come up with something to protect our new 7 year investment.
  2. IDK, give the kid a chance. All three are different types of players....apples to oranges.
  3. Possible as Montreal seems to be a better team (on paper) this year with some off-season additions (ex. Monahan, Dach, etc.)
  4. Joki was a bit of a turnover machine IMHO.
  5. Not real far from each other. The "Nat" is downtown north side while the airport is a little ways east just outside the I270 outerbelt. There's a golf course right next to the airport in the landing pattern, so pretty cool some days where the planes approach right over year head. Lived in the Columbus area before moving to Buffalo and agree with 5.5 hours by car.
  6. The other dude wearing a face mask was interesting.....looked like he was amusing himself twirling his stick.๐Ÿคจ
  7. Holy Crap that was some bad camera work
  8. Short-term memory loss here.....did any player from last night's game suit up for this one with CBJ?
  9. It may be one of best Sabre drafts to date. Hoping that we can strengthen the defense pool in the next one.
  10. I am looking forward to being more "entertained" this season!
  11. Wouldn't that be a nice outcome!
  12. Hoping this is indeed the case....a "sturdier" Rasmus is a good thing IMHO. We had another sturdy Rasmus, but that's another story!
  13. $8 or $4...now we can't even buy a beer or soft drink today for that amount ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the astro-turf!!!
  14. Yes....and sadly, no RJ to say "Halfway through the period".
  15. Brings back memories of the ol' Orange section on top. Pretty steep angle, but a great view!
  16. Could he be a V. Varada type player with maybe more offensive upside?
  17. I like the signing. Given his success last year, teams may focus their defensive efforts on TT to try and neutralize him in 2022/2023. Hoping the rest of the lines find more of a scoring touch to mitigate this.
  18. No, but hopefully show well enough to convince Levi, Portillo and Johnson to want to sign and be part of an organization that will make the playoffs in 2023-24.
  19. I along with many (not all) fans do not expect this team to make the playoffs, so let's the kids play and develop with the understanding they WILL make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. IMHO there are enough center possibilities on the roster that we have to play them there to see what they can become, ala Tage last year. I know this is a center thread, but I would rather see the team obtain another skilled/fast big power forward who can help our young centers develop faster.
  20. With respect to Rosen, maybe it's not a bad thing that he's not standing out. We had another 1st round pick Swede forward named Nylander who was pretty good in the WJC's and then struggled as a pro. Maybe Rosen will be the ANTI-Nylander ๐Ÿ™ƒ https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/sabres-alexander-nylander-outstanding-at-world-juniors/
  21. Sticking to the plan seems to be the priority. Part of the plan includes having players who truly want to be here. IMHO - some of the FA's who fans desire may simply not buy into the Sabres' plan and so they signed elsewhere or maybe still looking.
  22. So here is the list of players taken between 16 and 28. 11 teams passed on Kulich, including Minnesota twice. A couple of centers taken in the 11 plus some D. As stated above, time will tell.
  23. I might be in the minority, but I sort thought Buffalo should have brought him right back after his first season. Thought he was quietly effective and defensively responsible...given the rest of the bottom six we had at the time.
  24. At what cost though?
