  1. Tre White’s gonna blindside crack back Reinhart at Prior Aviation. #OneBuffalo
  2. Sabres with 15 SOG in a period. That’s doing work against CAR.
  3. Carolina gets the most SOG and gives up the fewest per game. They’re really good.
  4. If Eichel is coaching the PP, he needs to be relieved of that duty.
  5. Ehh? Nice setup by a terrific player, and a better shot. Skinner.
  6. Skinner looking lost in his own zone played in Carolina’s favor, for once.
  7. Fair observations. And, of course, they generally play well when they win, and they generally play poorly when they lose. I keep referring to that win streak as magical. And I mean that in a fairly literal way. Lightning in a bottle. Since then, they've played as a bottom-5 team. They're not as good as that 10-game win streak might have suggested. Probably not by a long shot. And they're not as bad as a bottom-5-paced record would suggest. ... I think. I ... hope. I would be giddy at the chance to have 2 home games against the TBL in April. That aside: 90 points or bust.
  8. I love the sense of hope. HOWEVAH. You watched some/much of the win streak, right? And you've watched the team play at a bottom-5 pace since then, right?
  9. FTFY. But, yeah. Pretty clearly a Sabre fan's snapshot. As for publishing it: That is just the time in which we live.
  10. Do we know that it was taken by a Sabres fan? I suppose the Sabres could look to deny entry or access to the person(s) who took and published the photo. It's their barn - they can deny access to whom they like for any non-discriminatory reason. Beyond that, I can't see any legal basis for grieving what the photo taker did. Those are pretty clearly cribbed notes -- a single page of them (there look to be more pages) -- that embody the bulleted highlights of a game plan.
  11. Having a game plan card pictured like that is ... not great?
  12. Wasn't sure where to put this, but this seems as good a spot as any. RIP to a true Sabres fan.
  13. I think there’s something to @darksabre‘s theory.
  14. Eesh. Maybe is at that point in time? Hopefully.
  15. Agreed on your first point. With regard to Risto, I'm basically back to seeing him as the player I saw him as (huh?) before his role in the magical (and I mean *magical*, as in unusual and not sustainable) run. Gun to the head, forced to choose right now, I'm taking Dahlin over Risto as a d-man the team can't do without. Do you follow Sean Tierney? I don't rely on him as some sort of gospel truth, but I do find it interesting when his charts match what I'm seeing (or what I think I see). Here's one:
  16. Well-turned. Skinner and Reinhart are obvious candidates to come before Dahlin. But I think a fair argument can be made that the order is as you suggest.
  17. This is all good stuff. I'll ask again, though, in response to "nowhere near": All told and taking everything in balance, who on the team is a better hockey player than Dahlin right now? I can name a few off the top of my head, and then the process grinds to a halt.
  18. Well, it's by now clear that Lehner was having some serious problems in his days here. I do not lay that at the feet of "because Buffalo." OTOH ... This is interesting. And more than a little sad. Not for nothing: If we could swap Hutton's .909 for Lehner's .932, is this team still in a playoff spot?
