  1. That was a great episode - of course, the monorail bit is a spin on a story that is as old as the hills -- snake oil salesman, trouble here right here in River City, and such. I don't think RaKru has that sort of guile, though. I think his failure here is more akin to a Michael Scott type persona.
  2. Great post. The passage of time, and the happening of so many things (as noted), has severed any causal link between the team's current fortunes and the tank. Also - reading through a few pages of these posts - seems like our Big J visitor comes here to act like a d1ck.
  3. Nothing like giving the media advance notice. 🙄
  4. Where's it being streamed? Their website and Twitter makes no mention of the 4:30 address. 🤡
  5. Yeah - it's evident that RaKru does not know what the hell he's doing.
  6. Along the same lines: You can't motivate professional athletes out of a funk when they know in their hearts, minds, and bones that the team's approach/strategy/system is a failure and that the team is getting sh1t pumped as a result. RaKru sees the funk -- he's just unaware that he's mostly responsible for it.
  7. This is total banana pants.
  8. Ha - it's a bit of both, depending on the situation. In this case, it was a search for an eye roll.
  9. I was going to add that the FO's of those tank teams were trying to lose. Plenty of proud (AHL-level) hockey players on those tank teams that did their level best every night.
  10. Fair. And what of DiPofo? He got to wet the beak a little as well. These are strange times. It would not shock me if the Pegulas were open to paying less in cash in favour of giving up an unliquidated stake.
  11. And maybe ... maybe the person who's qualified to clean up that mess is ... just hear me out ... maybe that person (well, that person's agent) is asking to be compensated in part through a very small equity stake in the franchise (and also proposed that he serve as an alternate governor, or whatever it was that Larry Quinn (and Ted Black?) used to do).
  12. But if you're not looking to spend cash, offering a small stake in your enterprise is a convenient way to compensate talent.

  14. Takes some practice, old feller.
  15. Thanks for logging on and posting. I know better than to punch down, yeah.
  16. Yuck. Now Twitter's filled with the Big J's just dunking on the blogger who started the rumour. Shoutout to @john wawrow who noted that he "apologized" to his most trusted source when he deigned to ask the question. Don't clutch so hard that you snap the string on those pearls, John!
  17. Saw that. Screw Tim Graham, though, eh?
  18. My thought is that the "for sale" piece of it could be tied to a proposal whereby the expert they're bringing in would be given a very small stake in the franchise - like 5%. Didn't Quinn and DiPofi (?) have those kinds of interests when OSP sold the team?
  19. Not sure. I don't much care for Tim Graham, so I'll take his stuff with a grain of salt as well. This rumour does not imply as much.
  20. Frank Wolf is the person who got the rumour going.
  21. Also. Holy Sh1tballs, this is big news.
  22. While not without risk, I think this is a welcome development.
