  1. Just saw a couple social media posts from some NE folks I know -- looks like Pats nation is freaking out (or trying not to freak out) about Brady's retirement statement (which omits any mention of the Patriots).
  2. It's Mahomes, and that's it for now. And that's in large part because he has Hill, Kelce, and the mad scientist Andy Reid.
  3. Maybe one or two more (Waller? Andrews?), and that’s it. Knox checks the TE box for this team. His chemistry with the QB is crucial, too. And he won’t work for cheap going forward, as he has so far. Another challenge for Beane. I’m guessing they do a deal this offseason?
  4. Ehhhh. I think you're getting it twisted. Davis showed out and balled out like he did in the divisional round precisely because Diggs is so good (and therefore commands so much attention). Diggs' route running abilities are effing bonkers.
  5. There’s no disputing the results. The process is a bit precipitous in that it relies so, so heavily on the incredible talents of one player. Lightening that burden a bit should be the #2 off-season priority.
  6. Burn your straw man, padawan. I wholeheartedly agree that the top of this draft needs to be in the defensive backfield for the Bills. The meme above is funny. I do worry about how incredibly heavily the Bills’ offence relies on Allen. It seems borderline unprecedented. Getting him another really good tool - to lighten the burden a bit - is obviously a good idea. Another third or fourth round gem from Beane & co.?
  7. Great post, and this is exactly it. I’d love to see the team add a back with big quickness and speed. That was the idea with Breida. It didn’t quite pan out. An Allen-led offence where a check down could go for 15-20 instead of 5-10? *That* would be a problem for other teams.
  8. Brady is, imo, the greatest athletic competitor ever. Greater than Jordan. So, I pay respect to that greatness and his accomplishments. Beyond that, I view him as a jerk, tw@t, as.shole, and, thanks to his TB12 business, putative grifter. Fu.kc Tom Brady forever and ever. People sitting on top of the world who punch down are the absolute worst kind of people. (Being the greatest competitor ever and a sh1tty person makes perfect sense, actually.)
  9. ^ Clicked through. That thread is hilarious
  10. Sir. Sir! Diggs is an undisputed top tier WR1 in the NFL. However, his proverbial tool box does not contain everything that Hill’s does. Hill’s quickness and speed are unmatched in the NFL right now.
  11. Pegulas’ yacht budget in play again? The only reason I can imagine for Dorsey to leave Allen is over money.
  12. Stupid and reckless play on his part. Apparently he has a history of ill-advised hits on skaters?
  13. I think he saw a player in serious distress, and exercised discretion.
  14. Rule 8.1 “When a player is injured so that he cannot continue play or go to his bench, the play shall not be stopped until the injured player’s team has secured control of the puck. … In the case where it is obvious that a player has sustained a serious injury, the Referee and/or Linesman may stop the play immediately.”
  15. Ah - okay. So not a change of possession, but a moment of non-possession. Tough luck for the Sabres.
  16. I mean, I know it went because of an injured player. But why then?
  17. Why’d the whistle blow? Our announcing team useless for context or an explanation.
  18. Beat the Chiefs. And may God preserve Orchard Park.
  19. I read the last 3 or 4 pages of this GDT ... and I came away confused over what and why people are watching at this point. This post is helpful. I do wonder how and when his team would make the transition to playing high-risk/high-event hockey, to playing a more responsible, efficient (but not boring) game.
  20. 4 PPG’s, yes. Dallas has also had about 70% of the shot attempts at 5v5. That’s ridiculous. Thompson is such a bright spot.
  21. Dallas is just shoving it tonight, from what I’ve seen. Sabres have been fortunate to score 4; Dallas arguably unlucky to have only that many. I haven’t noticed Samuelsson, which … good (?). Everyone on the Sabres getting out shot and out shot attempted — few more so than Samuelsson.
