  1. It wont mean much for the big picture this year: But a nice response by the Sabres after an embarrassing 7-1 loss at home to Dallas. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to climb up.
  2. I have to say the Oilers. The Oilers were a trendy Finals pick going into the year.
  3. Agreed. Jason deserves some time. Just started. Drafted Middlestat which looks really promising. Let's see this time next year how things look to truly assess JBOT.
  4. Sad to say Id rather have Rolston then Phil. Im dying to be dead wrong about Housley but I don't see it from him at all.
  5. If I were running the Sabres, Housley would be unemployed by the end of the weekend. I know the team has limitations but the regression is stunningly bad. When you miss Bylsma that means its a done deal. Fire Phil and let the rebuild be done right.
  6. Starts with the players. JB needs to make deals. Also this coach. I would seriously considering replacing Phil. The team has quit.
  7. 10-0 in SOG. If i was at this game I would be in the parking lot leaving already.
  8. Make it 7-0 and a goal makes it 1-0 Dallas. Detonate and start over.
  9. 7-3 Dallas. Benn and Seguin 2 goals each. Jack with 2 points.
  10. I think all sports in about 50+ years will be massively different when it comes to consumer consumption. The dawn of the tech era along with e-games, and quite honestly, millennials and younger people have many other interests besides sports. I am not sure if any sport will be able to keep up what they are currently doing in terms of ratings, and ticket sales.
  11. Have at it. based on standings thought of these teams who realistically would deal for Evander. Let's see what is the #1 choice and compare to what happens. If there is an other, please specify
  12. Not sure if I can project the 2025-2030 NHL Entry Drafts yet to see what Sabres will be taken
  13. Lehner for a 3rd round pick for a team that needs a backup (NJ perhaps) Kane to anyone for a 1st and a player or a 2nd and a little better player. Not sure where Kane fits best but some team WILL bite. Bring up Ullmark and Guhle full time and let the winning return
  14. Nevada, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee can sign players to lesser deals and players net the same as they would in states like New York and California. Can be as much as 8-10% savings. So in essence, a team like Tampa Bay can sign another player for say 6-7 million that teams from higher tax states cannot. I believe this was a factor as to why Stamkos was able to stay in TB and take less. He truly isn't netting less. If Uncle Gary wants to sell this hard cap idea, change the scale so teams like Buffalo aren't hurt by it. Larry Brooks from the NY Post had an excellent column about this, but darn it if I can find it right now LOL
  15. Just like Skugga correctly pointed about how teams don't think of lines like they used to, I don't think rebuilds are the same either, especially in the unfair hard salary cap era we are in now. Look how fast the Devils rebounded. And teams also nosedive quick too (Ottawa). Toronto jumped up quick. Yes, there are holes on this roster, but since the cap era produces a product where a lot of teams have a hole here and there, I do think the Sabres can rebound a lot quicker then most would expect.
  16. 5-1 Columbus. Another lifeless performance and one step closer to the NHL Trade Deadline.
  17. Lehner IMO can get a 2nd or 3rd. Not locked up for a long term deal, a contender may view him as a viable backup/insurance policy. Kane can probably get a 1 and a prospect or a defenseman with some years left on a deal that can be an asset. Excellent job and I like some of your ideas here
  18. Every player on this team should be available and I mean everyone. Even #15.
