The d zone play just reminds me of beer league rec hockey. Power tries to make a pass at 70% power and effort and it gets intercepted. 100% power would’ve gotten it there. Why the 70%? It’s so confusing

The 3PM WGR boys are hitting the nail on the head right now re: the Adams presser.

He has 39 hits this year which would put him second amongst our D. Winner of the Messier award for leadership across the NHL last year (not gonna lie didnt know that was an award). Could be a spark if it comes cheap to free.

I'd actually love Trouba. He actually hits people.

I think that this is a HUGE (and maybe even main) reason why no serious FA's or trade pieces give us a serious consideration. You had a star player in the NHL want a surgery, we denied it, he gets traded and gets said surgery and wins a cup the next year. Yeah, stupid decision that sends a message to the players. Nobody respects that.

I mean this interview alone shows we need to move on from Adams right? Like I can't see any road we go from this interview to a "Post Stanley Cup Win" interview within 5-7 years from this guy. It's that bad.

Ever since Lucic ran Miller this team has been desperate to find an identity. They tried to get tougher and brought in guys like John Scott (lol) and Steve Ott. It didn't work. They tried to bring in talent with guys like Taylor Hall, Okposo, O'Reilly, Kane, Skinner, etc. They tried to strengthen the 3rd and 4th lines with guys like Sheary, Johannsen, Simmonds, Vesey, Greenway. And kept re-signing Girgs. They tried to round out the D with a mix of tough and talent with players like Mountour, Bogosian, Scandella, Miller, Jokiharu. None of it has really worked. The fact that none of these acquisitions and rosters could even crack the top 8 of 16 teams in the East is embarrassing from a management standpoint. They absolutely hit on picks with NHL caliber talent more than I can name (Reinhart, Eichel, etc.) What's my point here? I just think this franchise is in a HORRIBLE spot with FA and trade partners. I don't know if we can recover. If within the last 10 years this is all we can muster, and it still isn't anywhere close to what we need - what do we do? Few side points - I think the Eichel surgery dispute hurt this franchise WAY more than they thought it would. Multiple star players saying they lost their love of hockey here hurt way more than we imagined. Vet's that came (or got traded and refused to come/retired...or IE Staal) and left has soured the players in the league on Buffalo. The vibe alone at games is so bad why would you even come here if you're a 3rd liner on another team? So many players across the league have NTC's and they are NOT waiving it to come here. The answer might be to sit and pray the young core can figure it out and win - cuz at least they don't have as much a say in where they are. I'm not confident.

The Kozak non goal (dumb) is how this team needs to play. It's how EVERY OTHER NHL team plays. Why is it so hard for us to go to tough areas? That's the first goal I've seen us score where we crash the front of the net in forever. Or at least I just don't notice it enough. I'm so sick of them playing so damn passive. Please revert to 2 years ago where we blitzed every team. I fear for Lindy....I was opposed to his hiring. A HUGE part of why was because of where we are at now. I was afraid of this exact scenario. Where we're just a completely broken roster due to Adams and Terry's mismanagement, and he will get cast off and his legacy will go with. He's a straight shooter so he may even have an ugly exit (ie "this org is broken" lingo). If the Lindy experiment doesn't work out this year, the franchise needs complete overhaul. Sale of the team to someone that can shake up this absolute dumpster fire. I'd say were more than half way there.....sadly

absolutely irrelevant to the game....we got the faceoff win and got to OT...they shat the bed in OT. I thought it shouldnt have been icing either but that had little to no effect on the loss

I know it’s been said but…Bryson and Jokiharu shouldn’t even be in the nhl let alone our top 4. Connor Clifton is also horrible and Samuelson (when he decides to play) is horrible. That’s 4/6 man. Our captain plays so soft and careless. Adams made huge mistakes with this unit
