  1. It's not so much who has a worse record. It's the lack of effort to improve and stay safely out of the playoff race. Denial. False belief and ignoring results.
  2. They deserve to be replaced. Obviously. The only person that is resisting is Pegula, we think. His zeal to extend these guys early justifies nothing, unless he doesn't mind an empty arena. Adams would have to make a bunch of moves to generate interest if everyone stays. How likely is that ? I'll just wait. It was ugly last night with the fans anger. Justified.
  3. His contract is something they're stuck with. They just figure the cap around it. I don't blame anyone that doesn't like him. He's so hot and cold. But 20-30 goals on the right line is some solace while the contract expires or eventually bought out.
  4. Where did I say 3rd line players ??? You're having conversations with yourself again. That way you're never wrong. Mental gymnastics.
  5. Major sports leagues selling out to the gambling dollar was a mistake. Now involvement of players, refs, major gamblers in relation to many post game results will always be questioned.
  6. 4 years in. The youth/growing/prospect angle has been played ad nauseam. Now to add Vets with grit, hustle and leadership to help the youth on our current squad to take another step. Trade some kids.
  7. The hip drop tackle rule shoved through solely by the NFL owners without discussing it with others (players, coaches) is beyond absurd. Just make the NFL flag football and move on. Safety is ALWAYS a legit concern but now arbitrary flags will fly that will probably decide close games. Long delays for reviews. D players are further handicapped and have no idea how to prevent plays if certain tackling is flagged. Is it a contact sport or not ?
  8. Sabres are just a farm team. They leave to succeed.
  9. I recently went to the Planetarium at Buff St. to see a film and lecture presentation on it. I'll just go out on my deck with the glasses. We are dead center in the path but how clear the skies are that day is nothing but a guess. Hotels are sold out and traffic will be a nightmare before and after.
  10. Beane is racking up the 1 year deals for depth players who have played a lot of snaps. Doing his best with the cap constraints. The WR draft pool is insanely deep, which is great for a year when the Bills are drafting #28. Fans would lose their minds if they drafted another position in Round 1 but it might happen. Combine (Gym short Olympics) speed king Worthy is 165 lbs. He 's not even the best WR from Texas. We'll see.
  11. Sabres Fandom.. It's basically listening to the Talking Heads song " We're On The Road To Nowhere " in a continuous loop. I'm hoping it's replaced by the Tears For Fears song " Change " .
  12. Club Seat PSL's at the new stadium - Reality Check Several fans who were some of the first to tour the new Stadium Experience Center and asked not to be identified, along with others posting on social media, have said they were presented with prices between $15,000 to $50,000 per seat for PSLs in the club sections. Wow. Current stadium has 15 rows of Club Seats. I sat in the Kelly Club in Row 15 at around the 5-10 yard line near the tunnel side for 19 years. Those seats went for about 2K a season at the end. Family had seasons in the lower bowl since year 1 (1960) and my first game was 1965. Switched to Club seats in 1998. I retired from work in 2017 and retired my tickets right after. Did my part financially supporting the team and like watching games at home now. Partially disabled but I move around OK. Always had a partial Sabres season also, shared with other family members. About 10-12 games a year. Retired that ticket a few years back. Good luck to the fans that can afford that upfront charge. Catching up with the rest of the NFL, I guess. That's a lot of cash. BTW - Our old football seats at the Rockpile were 20 rows up on the 45 yard line and cost $5 a game. When Rich stadium opened in 1973, The went up to $7 a game. Outrageous ! Our first row Blue hockey tickets at the old Aud right near center ice were $10 for many years. Inflation ! LOL
  13. What is developing inside of him is basically indigestion and gas. New leadership at GM and HC is desired. Faith/belief in the "process" is basically gone. That means empty seats and fan apathy.
  14. He's on cruise control with the Bills selling out but at what point do you tell your owner of a failing hockey team " It's all up to you ". COO is a business manager and he can only do so much if the product is substandard.
  15. NCAA Tourney had 2.7 Billion bet on brackets While hockey and football are my primary sports to follow, the Tourney is still the greatest playoff format ever. Saw Oakland knock off Kentucky and Dayton make this incredible 24-4 closing run in the last 7 minutes to beat Nevada, who thought they had it won. A great watch, IMO. Especially when ones hockey team is failing yet again.
  16. How can they sell tickets for next season running this back with KA, TG and little lineup changes ?
  17. Edwards was a great insurance policy. He's not someones backup. He played a lot. They can get more and probably will. Free safety starter as of today. Rapp at Strong Safety. Still have a lot more positions to work on. Looking at the current depth chart but Beane is doing OK. Draft coming and I'm betting some post June 1st FA signing when more cap space opens up ( T.White ). They'll be Vets still hanging out there. That's how they got DE Floyd last year. Signed him on June 6th.
  18. He has roofing and scoreboard experience.
