Summer is over already? :angry: July sucked and except for a nice hot week in mid-august, what happened?

See sub-title. Normally I change it, but forgot about it being Thursday and didn't even check. PS It's not that hard. Typically the complaints for a given day are 3 pages long, so depending on the time of day, go back between 1-3 pages. :doh:

Just got back from a vacation in LA and San Diego. Here is my complaint....Driving from LA to San Diego around noon last Saturday, it took 3 hours for a drive that should have been around 90 minutes. For a huge stretch with nothing but the ocean on one side and mountains on the other, traffic would just randomly go from 0-20 with a few seconds of 40mph and then right back down to 0-20. This was an area with no entrance or exit ramps, just traffic slowing down for no good reason that I could see.

That was me merging the new thread with the old one and then unlocking the old one. Sorry about that. ;)

Does Sony ever learn their lesson with proprietary products. You would have thought that after they lost the VHS vs. Beta war, that it would have been a lesson never forgotten. Tonight I was looking for a digital point and shoot camera. I had it in hand and was ready to buy it until the clerk told me that it can only be used with Sony memory cards(Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo Media) which were twice as expensive as the memory cards(SD/SDHC) for all the other cameras(at least this was the case in Target). I put the camera back. What a joke.

To all potential vendors out there...stop cold calling me and then get all pissy when I tell you that I have no interest in the crap you are trying to sell to me/my place of business. It sucks being in sales. If you don't like rejection, go flip hamburgers for a living or go back to college.

If I want to drive the speed limit or slightly above it in the right hand lane and it is a multi lane road/freeway, pass me if you don't like, it instead of tailgating me. <insert fu smiley>

I'm amazed how many times I go into a convenience store and if my total ends in .99 how many clerks think they don't have to give you the penny. <_<

Complaints... 1. Is it possible to not use a pool once all summer? 2. People who drive around WNY like maniacs. Slow friggin' down. Your commute is about as short as it can be. You are risking your life and the people driving around you. 3. Still having to cut my grass every 4 or 5 days because of all the rain and cool weather. Shouldn't my grass be burned by now? 4. Stupid new eye doctor who overcharged me almost $200 for new glasses. After verifying my coverage, I had to call them 3 times before they finally got it right. I am not sure if this was intentional or the opticians who figure out the costs are IDIOTS! It is not rocket science. 5. The 500 block of Main St. downtown is a joke. I am not sure if Buffalo is on the upswing when a block that at one time had a McDonalds, John & Mary's, Burger King and Ruby's, now for the most part has vacant buildings for more than a decade.

I'm shocked and very happy at the same time. I still believe the worst case scenario is that Kassian ends up being a 3rd line terror. Best case...Scoring line winger who plays with a mean streak. As far as I know, there is currently no one on the Sabres roster or in the system who comes close to Kassian's attributes. GREAT PICK!!!!!!

Spelling Bee on ABC... Why not just have the judge give the kids, the language of origin, use it in a sentence, definition, alternate definition, alternate pronunciation, etc... instead of making the kids ask for each and every one of these. By the way, the kids are unbelievable!

Even with all the dry weather, I have been cutting my grass every 4th day. I can only imagine what it will be like after the rain stops.

Gas prices rising as the summer vacation season is around the corner. :angry: What a surprise they are going up. I'm sure it is just a coincidence. <_<

You're on my bandwagon. I was bitching about this in the complaint thread a couple of weeks back. I would bet any amount of money that the reason people do it is because they don't trust electronic forms of payment. Get the F out of the stone age you knuckleheads and while you're at it, get your life savings out of your mattress! :angry:

Why can't traffic signals utilize technology more? Utilize sensors that could detect cars and program the signals more efficiently based on traffic patterns. Of course to establish what the patterns are, they would have to do traffic studies. :doh:

Not to sound like I am out of touch and an old fart(which I am on both counts), but what is up with this "+1" crap that is popping up on message boards. I am not sure if it is supposed to mean that you agree with another poster, but if so, can't you just type "great post" or even easier, insert the thumbs up smiley. <_<

I visit a disney board from time to time(depends if I am planning a trip) and there are people debating whether they should cancel their trip because of this. :lol:

One thing work related... Why should I have to unsubscribe to email mass mailings that I never subscribed to in the first place. Furthermore, once I do unsubscribe, don't send me another email telling me this will take effect in 2 to 3 weeks. It should take effect immediately. Stop spamming me!!!!! :angry: :angry:

Is there anything more ridiculous than vanity plates? I recently saw an older guy driving a '70's Trans Am with the vanity plate 2W1LD4U. Seriously? :lol:

It lasts 24 hours and then some.
