  1. This team is just on an endless journey of suck
  2. you read a 540 page document? I’m not going through that but can you share the death section. So he sustained a non hockey related injury resulting in death. The injury coming from a criminal act that he was at no fault for. Had he died on the ice he’d be paid out. Team would be reimbursed by the insurance company . This is a situation to where I’d think the cba would be in favor of the players family being paid out. He wasn’t flying a plane, skydiving or any of the usual parts of contracts that if you’re injured or die you void the deal. If he isn’t paid out I’d say the union will change this in future cba even though this is so rare
  3. The contract is fully guaranteed so I’d think his family would have a good case for the team to pay it out. The teams get all their contracts insured if a player gets permanently injured and has to pay it out. I’d think this would apply
  4. It’s collectively bargained so they can’t just give his family the money. His contract still gets paid out. The contracts are insured so I’m not sure if the family gets the lump sum pay out or if it just gets paid out yearly.
  5. They probably would anyways since I had a close family member killed by a drunk American Airlines pilot. My brother was supposed to be in the car but got sick and didn’t go.
  6. https://www.nj.com/sports/2024/08/nhl-star-johnny-gaudreau-brother-killed-after-being-struck-by-accused-drunk-driver-in-nj.html?outputType=amp guy had 5-6 beers which probably means 9-10 and admitted it at the scene. Wtf is he doing trying to pass someone on the right? It’s a two lane road so guy is on the shoulder passing someone. Jesus
  7. He chose to drink he chose to drive I’d say it’s murder.
  8. Changed the title. ESPN first reported it as a car accident so that’s what I went by
  9. Him and his brother killed last night in an accident
  10. He’s gonna score so many goals for the oilers Jesus
  11. One down year in a year when everyone on the team was down. Smart move would be to let him bounce back and if he doesn’t then you buy him out.
  12. Great, get rid of a pure goal scorer now we have to spend assets to get another goal scorer.
  13. Mike Babcock! I kid. Berube would be cool but I have wanted gallant since he got fired from Florida and I think we had just fired Danny boy.
  14. I know that’s the big joke but the truth of the story was that he had cancer when he was younger and the drugs he had to take after caused his face to look puffy. Any player you talk to on the teams he was on said he smoked everyone in the vo2 oxygen tests every year.
  15. We beat Detroit twice and isles this week the hope tank is very full. This team needs to play the best hockey they’ve ever played this week. Then we get Detroit again later on. There is a path but it’s narrow
  16. Huge. We have a huge week against them. We need 3 in a row this week in regulation for a miracle playoff run. Lose one and it’s over
  17. Sister in law turned on the ***** Barbie movie after the second so you should have seen my face when I got the update we won.
  18. Great win now gotta take 3-4 points off Philly and get back in this thing
  19. Ok I did miss first 10 minutes of game
  20. Man he hit that dead nuts
  21. Hasn’t seen too many scoring shances. Sabres d playing real well around the net and he’s just in position. No soft goals which we’ve tended to give up
