  1. Yes, his head was down and his teammate didn't do him any favors. its not head hunting, it was a clean hit. Umberger committed a cardinal sin, especially in a playoff game. Scott Stevens was a head hunter, ask Eric Lindros. Yes, youth hockey players do it. I've witnessed it.
  2. I wouldn't be worried. Besides, we need to see where he is at. If he is an NHL caliber goalie, he wouldn't be "ruined" by getting shelled. The really good ones have no memory, moreover they don't give a sh**. If he has a confidence problem after getting shelled after his first NHL game, he's probably never going to be NHL worthy.
  3. Every youth hockey coach should show his players that video and explain WHY you don't stickhandle with your head down....unless you don't want your head....
  4. Of course....Ralph will tell any one who will listen that he set them up for success and if he would have only stayed a little longer it would have all turned around
  5. no doubt....there are others too
  6. It truly is amazing the OBVIOUS improvement in play of certain players Mittlestadt, Thompson, Dahlin, Jokiharju, Skinner
  7. Hot Sauce works
  8. Congrats to Tokarski first win as a Sabre
  9. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeessssssss
  10. Remember it well, loved the Braves! Went to games to see all those players.
  11. At this point...if he's good and he could help us......does it matter?
  12. I think he's was hurt to some degree from the beginning of the season and it progressively got worse. One play/instance probably didn't do it, but sure there must have been a play that was the final blow. His skating posture was terrible since early on and he was avoiding contact much more than usual. Initially I thought he was just disinterested/lazy, then I believed he had a minor nagging injury and was trying to play through it. Upon further review, thats a bad injury/condition for anybody to have.
  13. yep....the worst and most immeasurable stat in hockey
  14. Yep, and a good play by Mitts, In the final 5-10 seconds of OT, trip the guy, mug the guy, whatever just don't give up the scoring chance
  15. OMG....Can we get a F**** Goalie!!!! PLEASE!!!!
  16. Boston wimped out in the last minute to get the point. Edwards and Co should address the fact that they were afraid of the Sabres in the last minute of the game
  17. agreed...once in awhile, just plaster somebody. Keeps them honest.
  18. The rat tried to argue he didn't high stick Risto, Replay doesn't support his argument. Should have been 2 min
  19. and we have Dustin Tokarski........edge Boston
  20. its just that...How long do you keep taking their *****? Ive been watching these Bruins Sabres games since '73-74. We win when we are more skilled and match their physical play only. Being more skilled does not usually get us a win
  21. Positively! "Knock his D*** in the Dirt" (as they say)
  22. OMG....The crying by Marty in between periods about the Bruins playing dirty. Can we just agree that we need to be more physical? You don't fight guys like the rat cause he won't fight you, YOU RUN HIM OVER, Then the fight comes to you. Works every time.
  23. The worst collection of Sabres pussies ever.
  24. This is right on. You never need an excuse to hit someone, but Its a quick decision not premeditated.
