Y'all oughta make like Dennis Miller and eschew obfuscation.
(1000 internet points if you can provide Miller's rejoinder on MNF to the fan's sign that displayed that message.)
Look up "Johnny Carson sis boom bah" in the web browser of your choice or go to YouTube and search for "sis boom bah carnac". If you can, find the 6:53 version that is the entire skit for context. Seriously, it is worth you time.
Addendum: in 8th grade, I went out as Carnac the Magnificent on Halloween. Come to think of it, in 9th grade, I went out as John Belushi's samurai, complete with gi and sabre.

This thread is 8 years old and Ellis is still on the team. The Sabres are the Matt Ellis of NHL franchises.
Matt Ellis was often a more competent NHLer than the Sabres had on their 3rd line for the last 12 years. The Sabres need to improve to be the Matt Ellis of NHL franchises.

Could be worse than being a Sabres fan, we could all live in Gaza or some other war torn nation.
Isn't that damning them with very faint praise?
I am impatient because I think that this team, as constituted, should be somewhere around 8th in the conference. Because they are not close, I infer that the problem is the coaching. In particular, I see specialist issues, which point at the assistants. They could change the coaches at any time.

This team is young, but it is not inexperienced. There are no excuses for the continued basic defencive lapses in their own zone or lack of creativity in the design of the power play.
They need better assistants and should look at the recent firings as a place to start.

No one could of done that here? 😐
Here, everyone tried him as a workhorse defenceman rather than looking for how to place him situationally. Philly looked at him more realistically.

/sarcasm? The GM literally said it would be the smoothest transition. But just make stuff up I guess.
I was not aware of that. Thanks!

Don is a great guy, but the sabres need a new coach and staff. He has miserably failed. GM bet the whole season on keeping the same team on the ice. Epic fail. Adams should fire himself. These players are young, rich and comfortable. Bring in somebody who will make them uncomfortable. Trade Adam’s precious picks for veteran help and sit the guys who make the same defensive mistakes two nights in a row. In a league where you have to be incompetent to miss the playoffs, we are still waiting for basic nightly competence. We are tired. Terry. Baby. Sweetheart.
Welcome to the board!
The elevation of Appert over the assistants is clear proof that management thinks very little of HCDG's assistants. It appears to also be an indication of the quality of coaches willing to come to Buffalo.

We are not down 2-0 at the end of 1. Who had that on their bingo card?

Is there a FanDuel bet on the Sabres being down 2-0 in the first period?

They're still $11MM under the cap. Having those guys on the roster in Buffalo or Ra-cha-cha didn't prevent them from signing anybody they might've wanted to sign.
Heck, they start worrying about the cap floor if they don't have those guys.
Imagine if we had spent that money wisely.

That will be seven million in. Rochester
Thanks. And with VO doing a lot of pine-riding, that is about $11M being frittered away.

So now how much in 1-way contracts will be in Rochester? Imagine that being spent on the big club.

Much as I like Greenway's play, an underrated mistake over the summer was slotting him at 3LW. Ideally, he should be a 4LW. That could have forced Krebs to Rochester to work on his offencive game.

Start with 2 games. We can discuss how things get done after that.

After 13 years of no playoffs, I don't know how the lot of you are capable of being smug about the Sabres. Pathetic.
You must be using a definition of "smug" that is not found in my internet search.

Thanks all! My baby boy was born unexpectedly at 30 weeks due to eclampsia complications. Baby Liam is doing great and is crushing each of the milestones each day. It's crazy to think he's only been with us for a week... He's already changed my life forever ❤️
The staff at Sister's Hospital have been great to us. It's been a tough situation but everyone here has made it a bit easier for me and my family.
Mom and baby are doing good... Dad still has his issues 😄
If we had a heart emoji, I would give you one.

I just read a News article about the Jost waiver. Here is what the News wrote about who KA listens to about pro players.
I need some aspirin for the headache that this team gave me.

And just wait until they waive Comrie. Then we’ll have $7 mill invested in players playing for the Amerks. Add the $5 mill we are paying Z and KO with nearly $8 mill in cap space and you have $20 mill that if spent wisely could have made this team a true contender.
This team needs better pro scouts.

We can hope, but I need more evidence. At least it was a new wrinkle with a totally different use of the player geometry.
