Yep... Charter member... Want to join? It really is not that surprising is it? Did not like the choice then; don't like it now. I am prepared to shutter it if he shows me that he can build a winner. My gut, and nothing more, tells me that he was the wrong choice. -
I grew up watching curling, CFTO baby.. Would not bother me a wit to see it dropped from the Olympics.
-
Interesting... So if they replaced skis with tubes and replaced the gun with say a sling shot that you had to hit a target with, you would be okay, call it a sport and allow it on the Olympic docket.
-
I don't have a problem with it conceptually, just its placement in the Olympics and calling it a "sport".

Caveat up front: I'm pretty vocal as the number 1 fan of the anti-TM fan club. Change for the sake of change does not always beget positive change. Things can go sideways or even backwards. Murray is about as exciting to me as throwing cucumbers into a salad. -
Her online picture does not come close to doing her justice.

First thing that popped in my head

I understand it, but I don't get it. And calling it a sport.. well... Why don't they combine ice skating and horseshoes? Call it Skoes
-
It's pretty cool to have an emotional attachment to the games. How are her chances? I know nothing about her competition other than I presume it is world class. Is there the equivalent of a Michael Phelps in there or is she the equivalent in her competition?
-
True. No offense intended.

Good luck..

Uhm don't Catholics believe that Jesus was real, lived among men, was crucified by men, was buried by men, rose again presented himself to man and then rose to heaven in front of men? Wasn't Mary a virgin who had a child and rose to heaven in front of men? Would that not qualify as "observable evidence"? Not arguing whether you should or should not believe it. Just there is a guy in Rome who wears a pointy hat and he does. I'm no theologian, obviously, but I would bet some, that are across many religions, would point to observable evidence as the basis of their belief. Kind of like that miracle thing. A miracle may be an observable fact that is beyond our current comprehension to understand. I get that. For me, I can accept and do accept the science of evolution that takes us all the way back to the big bang moment. But where did the cosmos come from eons ago that started the whole thing? Science does not try to go beyond that point. It kind of stops there as a fact and the basis of all things forward. What created the cosmos? For now I attribute it to the statement above, "it is an observable fact that is beyond our current comprehension to understand."

My torch was lit right away. I did not and still do not like the hire. It's nothing specific, call it a gut feeling. But he does not strike me as a savior. -

I only care about one. He has been uber quiet since he got here, And while he plays his fiddle, Buffalo burns. Show me something, anything..... -

TM is turning into the stealth GM. Could this guy possibly have a lesser profile since the day of I'm not afraid to make big moves? Hell he can't even move his family out of Ottawa. Big moves.... Show me a move besides shuffing players between our two AHL teams. He's had enough time to make an impact. I've got nothing, nil, bupkus fizzle goes the dynamite -

Seems like a clear cut Sabres victory to me. Edmonton is a bad road team. Buffalo is a bad team. Something has to give. The give goes to the Sabres.
