Have you checked to see how many exhibition games all teams “starters” are playing during the preseason? Is it really an anomaly or more of an average for most teams?

This should be the gif for when Pilut or Lybushkin gets a goal.

It’s exhibition preseason. I personally don’t read anything good or bad into lineups or scores now. It’s unnecessary IMO. There are more exhibition games after this one.

Some People still eat up the media given term “generational” and then throughout their career hold them to that term even if it was unfairly or prematurely given by the media. Sheep.

And I thought everybody knew this…. I thought everybody knew that that’s what happens with these dogs… That’s the whole point behind it… That’s the whole story that was explained in the first place when the first dog made its rounds in the media. 🤷‍♂️

It’s preseason … you take a lot of what you see in these exhibition games seriously and definitively … that’s on you. Like Comrie sucks, or Krebs is terrible, or Cozens isn’t developing fast enough. I remember the impatient and often (in my opinion) ignorant definitive negative comments about Dahlin, Olofsson, TNT, Reinhart, ERod, and I can go on and on. Good grief …

Let the optimism continue … Sabres … 4 Pens … 3 Joker, Hinostroza, or Weissbach with a goal

It will be interesting to see who’s the next captain after KO. We should do a poll with only like 3 or 4 likely realistic logical choices. And bump the thread after the next captain is named. See how accurate we were.

That’s exactly the point of his two year contract. Any more than a (better than Tokarski) filler, and it’s a bonus.

I bet other “hockey isn’t THAT important” markets aren’t even offering preseason coverage. Is Arizona doing first to last game coverage? How about Dallas? Florida? Carolina? they may be. But I wouldn’t be surprised if those markets aren’t offering TV or steaming of every single preseason game. Maybe not even terrestrial radio for all games either. 🤔 With that said … c’mon Sabres do better with preseason games!

Very true. Contempt hasn’t sampled them all. That’s obvious. But it’s also ok to not like DD at all. I wonder if there are any other teams broadcast crews not physically going to every away game. How does one find this out? 🤔

I’m not really taking anything a player does in the preseason games seriously. Good or bad. They are playing against incomplete teams. As an incomplete team. Not to mention “game shape” is different in September than say November. For me it’s just exhibition or glorified scrimmage against another club.
