  1. Because Boston
  2. Watching Bruins/Bolts on NBCSN with Kenny Albert, Milbury and McGuire calling the game. Pierre and Mike are right there with Adams and Brickley when it comes to stroking the Bruins. If they were on the radio you wouldn't even know Tampa was playing. One of the Bruins makes a backhand pass from the boards and PM calls it wizardry. A Lightning player makes a better backhand pass five mins later.......crickets
  3. With that name he should be on the PGA tour
  4. For anyone interested, you can watch Guhle on NBCS tonight at 10 when the Ducks host Chicago.
  5. I heard about Rear Balls Creek awhile back when an old high school friend moved to N.S. I didn't believe him at first and had to look it up, lol. As for the name Claude Balls, he was a fictional author who wrote the book - Revenge of the Tiger.
  6. Carrier and Reaves aren't there to light up the scoreboard, I think everyone knows this. Especially opposing players who need to have their heads on a swivel when those guys are on the ice. I'm just saying having guys that are willing to do the dirty work can be just as beneficial as having guys that can score 30+ goals per year. The Sabres desperately need more points guys, but could also use a couple guys like Carrier (oh wait) and Reaves. If Tom Wilson could clean up the occassional dirty hits, he would be a player every team would want. Gonna have 20+ goals and over 100 PIM this season after missing the first 20 games no less. Evander Kane is gonna have 30+ goals and lead the league in PIM this season. So yes, physical play can work. I could mention Brad Marchant as well, but I hate that little d-bag.
  7. This is false, as I said up-thread, 5 of the 6 top hitters in the league are on playoff teams, the top two are on Vegas. This just shows that when the other team has the puck, which is going too happen a lot during a game, checking that player off the puck to re-gain possession is a pretty good tool to have at your disposal. The Sabres don't do this and just swing their purses while opposing players blow right by them.
  8. Actually I'm in WNY, but couldn't pass up that location name when I heard of it. Fits my screen name quite well too. I was also a member here a few years ago but lost/forgot all my login info so had to start from scratch. Thanks for the re- welcome ?
  9. Not to mention he hasn't even had a practice with these guys yet. But that's what Phil wants
  10. They had much more talented d-men too. Dahlin will only get better and Montour is a much better fit for what Phil want's to do. I know Beaulieu crapped where he ate so was in the doghouse and was shipped out, but he was a better fit for the system than Scandella.
  11. The problem with the NHL is what they consider a hit. You can be physical just by shoving someone off the puck and into the boards and they'll give that player a hit, when technically it's not really a hit.
  12. OTOH 5 of the 6 top hitters in the NHL are on playoff teams. In fact the top two are on Vegas. Not a bad thing to have some physical play to go along with speed.
  13. I like to see physical play, which to me, includes hitting. I would much rather see someone make a nice clean hip check over someone slashing or crosschecking someone. And because people wanna see some sort of physical play or hitting from their team, they are whiners? Guess I've been trolled too.
  14. Truth! Physicality ramps up big time in the playoffs. Sabres would get steamrolled with this lineup.
  15. Both, and since he has re-focused on his defensive play, he is one of the best all around players out there.
  16. I didn't say that they were did I? I was simply implying that goal scorers are capable of throwing hits and don't always have to be ballerinas to be great players. It is possible to do both these days, which some here seem to disagree with. Hitting is and always will be part of the game.
  17. Not to mention one of the best/hardest hitters in the game is leading the league in goals this year.
  18. I hope he's in Minnesota in early April.
  19. Wish I could give this 2 thumbs up
  20. I say leave them in Roch so they can keep playing winning hockey. Why bring them up now to play loser hockey. Sabres are toast, let these sad sacks finish out the season.
  21. Not enough sack on this roster either. Botts seriously needs to bring in a few thumpers. I would love a Tom Wilson type of player on this team. 20 goal scorer who will take care of business on the ice as needed. And how many games did he miss to start the season? Guy might be sniffing 30 goals if he played all season.
  22. I prefer never to see him in a Sabres uniform again
  23. I doubt it, he was excited with the improvement this team has shown since last season. Also said that 10 game win streak, which seems like it was years ago, was a great accomplishment by this team. If that's not an embarrassing statement from a GM, I don't know what is. Holding on to something that happened before Thanksgiving.
  24. Lmao, this team has become so so so bad at hockey. Hello high lottery picks odds......AGAIN. So sickening to watch.
  25. Ohhh, Montour just missed a yawning net. Hes caught the Sabres flu already
