Points are just a consolation prize now, this team ain't going anywhere this season. I would just like to see these guys learn that you can actually score goals AND play physical during the same game. It's hockey, not rocket surgery. Through 2 periods total team shots Buffalo 18 (7 on goal) Colorado 49 (26) on goal

This isn't the first time he's questioned the teams talent level. Earlier in the season when he was keeping the Sabres in games but they were still losing, he said he wasn't getting any run support. He takes his little digs when he can. But yeah, he was pathetic in the shootout. Last 6 shots he has faces in shootouts, he's let in 6 goals. Not sure if Lehner ever let in 6 in a row.

Carter Hutton not holding back on what he thinks of his teams talent. "It's hard for our horses to run with those guys. They have a lot of depth."
-
Yeah, but they had a 3-2 lead for 18:03. Phil would point that part out to you I'm sure. Thst's something they can build off of, lol

Wait, you have examples of today's college teams beating NHL teams from the 70's? Did I miss something? Anyone looks good in goal against these guys, they rarely hit the net.

Hutton shouldn't start anything other than in a back to back situation rest of the season. He has been brutal and Linus needs the work.

Eichel is dog tired, meaning PH will have him shoot first

Is sloptastic a word?

There are no more "enforcers" in the NHL, although still quite a few in the lower levels. Sabres are fine with Bogo and McCabe for physicality on the back end. What the Sabres could use is a couple Tom Wilson, Miles Wood, Nick Foligno type of forwards who can put the puck in the net and aren't afraid of their own shadows.

We've also seen too many flashes of the same garbage that we've seen for the past decade.
