In a strange (pun intended and explained later) turn of events several of the main club sponsors are in negotiations to buy the Glasgow Clan. Led by John Strange of title sponsor Aspray they are currently performing their due diligence and will not comment further. What a weird week this has been. Oh yeah, the Clan let a 4-3 leas slip in the 3rd period last night and eventually lost in a shootout after a 4-4 regulation draw.

They say a week is a long time in sports... it must seem like an f-ing century for the owner of the Clan. In the wake of the attempted signing of Lasse Uusivirta, the lack of apology from the club's owner (Neil Black) has led to what could be the end of the road for us. All major sponsors have now suspended their funding, ticket prices are to be raised. After the support shown by the fans to ensure the Clan's survival in recent years this is an absolute kick in the teeth. I hope we can get though this with professional ice hockey in the west of Scotland intact. But it doesn't look good. For context....
