True. Just two years ago. The New Jersey Devils' best season EVER was under Lindy Ruff in 2022-23 , they achieved a franchise-record 112 points with a 52-22-8 record.

Because Kulich/Rosen/Quinn will get dominated by good teams 4th line, especially on defensive zone draws, and they would be vulnerable on the road were the home team gets the last line change. Instead of using the NHL team for player development, lets have a real "shut down line" that actually does shut the opponent down, and actually helps the team win games instead for blowing leads in the 3rd period. That starts at center. Lets improve the center spline, and then we can build the lines out.

Made the mistake of watching the morning news. This song was written 55 years ago, seems like not much has changed. Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World Is Today) Song by The Temptations ‧ 1970 One, two, one, two, three, four, ow People moving out, people moving in Why, because of the color of their skin Run, run, run but you sure can't hide An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth Vote for me and I'll set you free Rap on, brother, rap on Well, the only person talking about love thy brother is the preacher And it seems nobody's interested in learning but the teacher Segregation, determination, demonstration, integration Aggravation, humiliation, obligation to our nation Ball of confusion Oh yeah, that's what the world is today Woo, hey, hey The sale of pills are at an all time high Young folks walking round with their heads in the sky The cities ablaze in the summer time And oh, the beat goes on Evolution, revolution, gun control, sound of soul Shooting rockets to the moon, kids growing up too soon Politicians say more taxes will solve everything And the band played on So, round and around and around we go Where the world's headed, nobody knows Oh, great googa-looga, can't you hear me talking to you Just a ball of confusion Oh yeah, that's what the world is today Woo, hey Fear in the air, tension everywhere Unemployment rising fast, the Beatles new record's a gas And the only safe place to live is on an Indian reservation And the band played on Eve of destruction, tax deduction, city inspectors, bill collectors Mod clothes in demand, population out of hand, suicide, too many bills Hippies moving to the hills, people all over the world are shouting, end the war And the band played on Great googa-looga, can't you hear me talking to you Sayin' ball of confusion That's what the world is today, hey, hey Let me hear ya, let me hear ya, let me hear ya Sayin', ball of confusion That's what the world is today, hey, hey Let me hear ya, let me hear ya, let me hear ya, let me hear ya, let me hear ya Ball of confusion

All of the fast food whoa’s that I have come from growing up in Buffalo. Back in the day there were plenty of family run locally owned places for burgers, dogs, pizza, subs, wings, etc. Italian and Greek places , bars and Taverns, … Taco Bell failed its first time entering the Buffalo market.

I went to Jerseys Mikes …. Once. Got an Italian combo sub of some kind. All the meat looked like bologna, it was cheap, tasteless, and pretty much terrible. One and done for Jersey Mike.
-
Never had an LSD phase thankfully. Iridescent deli meat and the Sabres, what a combo. Interesting to know this is common but it doesn't change a thing for me. I get deli roast beef from an high quality Italian meat market in town and I don't see the rainbows colors. Maybe his slicer is less sharp as the article suggests. He slices it a bit thicker than the garbage they sell at Arby's too. I tossed that Arby's green and blue meat in the trash, never again to set foot in one. I will stand by that decision.

Clifton often plays with that 4th line so that does not help him. He adds a physical presence and he helps on the PK, we need more of both, not less. Not saying he is a great player but Spence and Rob Johnson is not an upgraded 3rd pair. Maybe this Spence is better than I think but he looks like another Bryson to me, which means he is a bad match for Johnson.
-
As a rule I do not eat any fast food. The last time I ate at Arby's, must have been the 90's, the "meat" had rainbow colors in it, like light purples and pinks and light blues. It was disgusting. Fast food is not for me, no, no, no.

JBD is jumping to a top pair defenseman from a 7? Spence for Quinn? Spence is small, how does he help toughen up the backline, especially playing with Johnson? I prefer Clifton.

I just don't see a housecleaning, I think Adams and Ruff will play out their contracts in a prove it year. I want to start winning more games and to continue to play like a real hockey team. The lure of a top 4 pick is there but I have had enough of that, if it happens it happens.

Big cites make over 5X more? Even if you count an average of 7 home playoff games this sounds wrong.

Benson is starting to turn into a man. Sure, he is only 19 but he is going to end up being a pound for pound physically strong player when he matures. He looks at least 180 lbs to me, but I see him listed at 170. Whatever it takes to improve his shot is what he needs to work on. Get with Tage or someone in the off season and work on it. Everything else is ahead of normal schedule for him.

Adams brought Appert into the organization. For Granato's replacement, Adams wanted Appert and Terry wanted Ruff. Terry won. If Adams is gone then Appert very likely goes too. Terry is counting his dollars - meanwhile Brandon Beane is working his way around the NHL salary cap, and Terry is paying big bonuses to his footballers. Plus Terry has to cover stadium overruns. IMO Adams and Ruff will stay because they have another year on their contracts.

Better late than never. The Stones were amazing. Beggars Banquet (68), Let it Bleed (69), Sticky Fingers (71), Exile on Main Street (Double record album, 72). No rock band has matched this level of output for a 4-5 year span. Everything on these albums is great, the deep tracks (lesser known songs) are the best ones IMO. Even the Beatles best 4 years have a hard time holding up to this. Seger was always a favorite for me. I saw him at a Rich Stadium Summer Fest Concert in his breakout summer (1975 I think - its a blur now). Prior to the concert I heard some of his songs getting a lot of FM air time. Pretty good, pretty basic stuff, OK. The line up was Johnny Winter (amazing blues guy from Texas), Bob Seger and Silver Bullet Band, and Yes as the headliner. IMO Seger stole the show. His sound was meant for the stadium, Yes really needs to be seen in a smaller and more intimate setting. Seger had a few hits that summer but he had a huge backlog of great songs that were not recorded yet, and they really resonated on that summer night. I took my GF to the show and it sure gave us the "night moves" while trying to lose those awkward teenage blues. -

100 % agree Cozens was my dream of a 30 goal, 70 point, big tough Canadian SOB that was hard to play against. Looking at how bad the Sabres have been for 14 years, all the picks and prospects (many have come and gone) , and we have one player on this list with a second as an alternate - that is sobering. But going forward, it seems just a few key moves and we should be emerging again. A studly stay at home RHD, impactful veteran help in the top 6, a few glue pieces, and we should be ok. -
The Sabres need to move on from Mattias Samuelsson

Just read an article on Mitts in the Boston Harold. Mitts said it himself, he came up too fast and needed time in the minors. So did Thompson for that matter. The mistakes predate Adams, and it all goes back to tanking and tearing the team down to the bare studs with no signs of any players that cared about the logo on the sweater. I will be watching the Boston rebuild. They did it once already since we tanked and they drafted McAvoy and Pasternak. Now those two are their Core. Zadorov is their answer for Chara. Lets see what they do from here. -

Looks like you missed the 70's record buying era but to me music is music. The era and the incessant need to label genres becomes too much of the conversation. I put a * next to the ones in my collection. I put a $ next to the ones that have hit the Turntable or CD player in the past 2-3 years. -

Yup. Too much, too soon. It breaks people down, especially when they care. -

Not impressed with a road win in the Garden? Peterka, Norris, and Kulich out. Hmmm. I thought they played pretty good, had some down stretches but kept the shots against down. -
