  1. Taking out the garbage? Power should bring in a nice haul. Quinn could be a good guy for a team to take a chance on.
  2. Brindicat looks like he is skating with wings on his head.
  3. Ya think? Its good to hear the outside worlds opinion. The Sabres broadcast drinks their bathwater too much.
  4. I saw a commercial on TV, I am sure there is a drug for it.
  5. Just looking for some positives to enjoy the game with. The Woodford Reserve can only do so much.
  6. Tage is healthy and this is what he can do. He fired a laser.
  7. Detroit's white and red uni's, yes. Unfortunately, the Buffalo team looks nothing like the Sabres of the 70's. If they did they have several NHL All Stars and would be selling out every game.
  8. First break to Buffalo. Brindicat always scores on us.
  9. I’ll try to watch some of it. Detroit really needs to win so the Sabres can really stick it to them.
  10. @Stoner, looks like Chris Pronger thinks Dahlin is a “ absolute stud”.
  11. Good to learn this. Hoping he gets selected for the US Olympic team.
  12. The source is no worse than many of the others, Biz is connected. Shock jock or not. The threat - ROR had a contract. Eichel had a contract. Dahlin has a contract. Dahlin has the same leverage that ROR and Eichel had. All Dahlin has to do is say something that Terry doesn't like, which is easy to do, and he will be shipped out. "Wanting to be here" is most important to Terry and Kevyn. Dahlin just has to say and act like he wants out, there is tremendous precedent that says his request will be granted.
  13. Tage is a very good goal scoring forward that can play center or wing. His should play first line, unfortunately his two way game as a center is not very good, especially against opponents top lines and top D pairs. His scoring and overall play is better at home when Lindy gets the last change. His faceoffs skills are not good either. The Granato theory was to put in at center to "give him room" but he does not need to play center to get room, he can create room on his own and they can design zone entries to give him room. Ruff sees the dilemma and his injury made it hard for him to take face-offs, so he moved him. If we had better centers Tage would be a wing on the top line.
  14. They are all tradable, especially Quinn, Samuelsson, Byram and Clifton, as are Krebs and Bryson. Even Power should be on the table but probably wont be.
  15. I think you mean Johnny Powers, the former NWF North American Champion?
  16. Pretty good analysis. I would add that they lack a physical and steady top 4 D. You mention Muel and they need to upgrade him. Add a more physical, more reliable, and less error prone defender. Muel can move to the 5/6 or be part of a trade, he is not good enough in the top 4. They need a player that is a fighter and yet good enough to play every game. The 4th line is the place for it. They need a player that can beat the hell out of opponents, many good teams have them. Replace Lafferty with that guy. I can move on from Krebs and Quinn. Krebs will at least do the dirty work on the 4th line. Quinn is not scoring, he does not shoot enough, and he plays on the perimeter. I don't care for his game in the defensive zone either. Quinn has fallen far behind Peterka and now he is behind Hulich and Benson. He may not get much but we have lots of young forwards. Get a veteran player to replace him. A guy like Sam Bennett would be a good add - physical, some decent skill, and knows how to win. I still think they need a playmaking center, not sure if Norris will be the 1C or a 2C. Kulich is the pleasant surprise of the season but is he a 1c/2c? A good GM can fix this is they spend to the cap.
  17. They never even talked to either of these coaches. Which is another reason they are not considered a serious team. Terry is bound and determined to run this team without being involved with the rest of the league. He is an outsider looking in.
  18. hit tracking in the NHL is not a consistent stat from what I can see.
  19. Remember Bo Byram’s first few games
  20. Part of the reason Ottawa moved Norris was reliability and availability. He had a nagging shoulder injury that spanned a few seasons. They also wanted to get bigger and more physical. Cozen has 17 hits in two games, they want him banging people.
  21. Norris is more skilled and a legit top 6 forward, I saw that every time we played Ottawa. It will come down to his health and how much Cozens matures down the road as to who “wins” the trade. Right now it looks like we improved at center, a position we grade poorly at.
