  1. To be fair, until these 2 periods, he did.
  2. Love it!!!! Pucks to net, bodies to the net!!!
  3. upl dialed in? Did cats and dogs start time sharing?
  4. Marty finally showing his years, stick a thin mustache on him and put him in Dracula movies.....
  5. Evening all. I see the boys took last night's result personal, good, good. These 12 hrs 7 to 7 shifts are killing my 1st period time. Go Sabres!!!
  6. I agree that they controlled large portions of time in the game. And yes, sometimes you run in to a hot goalie, but I re-watched the game last night. Allen didn't have to make but 2, maybe 3 difficult saves. For the most part the shots were either dinged off of players in front of the net or were easily handled by Allen as they hit him directly without him moving much. He was vulnerable a number of times, the Sabres failed to capitalize. I saw 6 cross ice passes by Sabres, 3 by Tage, that were just straight up bad decisions. I'm not riding any particular players play by the way, but to control the play is one thing, if you don't show finish on some of them, this is the result you see. Imho.
  7. The team is definitely in trouble. You don't fire out of the gate 2 - 4 and feel good about that. There's a lot of hockey left to play, and they are adjusting to vet leader EJ's comments, but there is little doubt over all, the results are the same. They're in trouble. At some point a group of these young guns are going to have to step up and lead us out of the darkness, but as of now, I'm not seeing it on the ice.
  8. The home woes continue. No answers. And people actually wonder why the arena is filled with opponents jerseys in the seats each home game. Come to Buffalo if you want to see your team win. And more points squandered.
  9. I read somewhere that Buffalo is a big resale market for the Sabres tickets. Combine that with fan enthusiasm needing to be rebuilt and it's a tough hill to climb.
  10. Ok, if they make it, I'll wear the name. You don't have to change yours if they don't make it in, as much fun as it sounds I'm not as invested in the Bills as you are, so I wouldn't do that to ya.
  11. Not really absurd at all. I'm merely looking at the teams play, it's injuries, it's inability to correct even after reviewing game tape, which they do. So far as I can tell, teams pressure the pocket, our O line collapses in some form or another and Josh no longer uses his legs north and south the way he used to. He does a lot of lateral running now. The D is heavily banged up and the weapons Josh does have cannot seem to execute at key game moments. I see no playoffs this year given the stacking of negatives, and if they do by chance make it in, I see no home field, no way to counter opposing AFC teams consistency.
  12. Exactly why I'm basing my opinion on the negative on playoffs. The injuries are piling up on the D side and the offense is staggering for large portions of games. I don't expect 40+ points every game, but the 4th quarter pile on points wise was a dam that was bound to break.
  13. 2 division losses, Miami with a high powered offense, Kansas City is still the king of the AFC, Jacksonville playing extremely strong to date. While mathematically not eliminated, the Bills will most likely not make the playoffs this season. And if they do, they won't be playing at home. I don't see them going anywhere this year. The question I'm interested in is where do they go from here? Coaching, is it the issue? Are the players execution abilities the sole reason for their inconsistency, or is it coaching?
  14. I'm going with "hood ornament".
  15. Very well could be. Well, at least we got decent football these past 5 years or so, so I can't complain to much considering the near 2 decade disaster before hand. Thankful for what we have? I guess that's where I'm at.
  16. Not looking promising this week. Not sure exactly what it is with the offense, but I agree with Josh when he says we have to execute. They aren't executing.
  17. The Sabres gave you a birthday gift. A complete game. They were all over the Island, and I mean draped on them like a bunch of 30 yr old housewives at a bachelorette party. They were swinging the goodies all over the Islanders nose and chin.
  18. It could have easily been 7 to 0. So many missed chances. Pucks bouncing over sticks, pipes, flubbed shots. I'm proud of the boys tonight, and I'm damn proud of Erik Johnson. He knew, the team responded to his words. Thank you EJ, and thank you KA for bringing EJ in to show the boys KP duty is as important as GF!!!!!!
  19. CLIFTON! He's hellbent on paissing in everyone's salad, even Comries..... No one is safe!!!!
