  1. I don’t think they’ll be as bad as some think, assuming a few more gaps filled in
  2. Hague should be 7 at best
  3. Misleading title
  4. No surprise. He lives in Chicago his girl is from Chicago. It was always going to happen.
  5. Any team wants Eichel before noon so they can fix the rest before there’s only scraps
  6. It’s been the ask. And there’s been leaks of GMs complaining about it. Then rumors of a whole compadre but not touching the top prospects. You’re getting Eichel pony up. That’s what this offer does - it’s not overpay, but it says a team in the West give it up to dominate for the next 5 years.
  7. Leaking a reasonable Krebs offer may help force Minn/Ana to pony up their top prospects
  8. Hague Krebs a dump vet and a late first. Could be worse. Has better upside than a lot of other ideas and the ages doesn’t push out the rebuild 5 years Vegas gives up nothing immediately threatening cup runs for a few years. They can worry about the farm after cups
  9. Got a bunch of players with killer instinct and not the passive players who may be smart and skilled, but are boring to watch and don’t get Ws. Now they just need to grow
  10. You’re aware yet unaware.
  11. Why don’t you make a thread that is your resume builder instead of ruining every other thread with the age old ‘I knew better’ argument? People want to hear highlights about this kid, no what not only the Sabres but usually 5-6 entire other scouting departments also skipped over. I agree with you Johnson is a classic case of not picking BPA and getting burned. It’s also a high floor low ceiling approach which is exhausting, but made sense at the time where we went a decade batting 0.000 at 2nd-4th rounders. But keep that to a thread that is your resume builder instead.
  12. Great post. Highlights how 90% of us are going to be disappointed with the return under these assumptions. Not that they aren’t realistic assumptions, but makes it clear.
  13. Sweet. Hope I’m wrong 🙂 Like I have said though, the existence of Dahlin would pre empt the types of problems he would have if he was a Diva. Jack never had another talented player on the team that commanded respect for their existence from the get go. Gionta was a blue collar player. Everyone else was toxic
  14. KA said they want him to be number one but he’s chosen to test FA. No doors closed
  15. Their board had bias. Didn’t mean they had a quota
  16. The one constant that entire time period? 25 minutes a night from Ristolainen
  17. They specifically stated they were emphasizing Czech and Russian players to overcome previous overlooks in the strategy. And that they weren’t planning to pick all those Russians but that’s how their board played out.
  18. Is there a trade people would be happy with if both Suzuki and Caulfield weren’t included?
  19. Original rumors were Suzuki/Caulfield were off the table. Now they’re offering Suzuki for lesser talent? Sounds fake Any deal with Suzuki, a couple blue chips and cap dumps is likely worth it
  20. Most big guys on defense use their size and not their extreme stick length to make plays. Power’s knock is he uses his stick too much and it won’t translate. It’s the opposite that is true. Don’t force feed him pasta and scramble his brain and we will be alright.
  21. They had a deal in theory with Briere down. Management said choose only one and the one is Drury. Drury saw the writing on the wall and got the hell out of dodge.
