  1. I look forward to this discussion. All I have to add is that I don't think UPL has any particular glove side weakness. Vezina winners regularly get beat on their glove hand by NHL players.
  2. At first, I thought it could be a dissection or something- but he wouldn't have regained a pulse thereafter, correct? (I'm not a doctor, just have them in the family...)
  3. I think Dan was just a bit tired from 3 games in 4 nights 😛 But seriously, the game had plenty of exciting moments. We did come pretty close to tying it up a few times.
  4. Is there any universe where UPL and Comrie show us they are our future, and we trade Levi at the deadline?
  5. I'm confident players like Power, Cozens, Quinn (and perhaps even Samuelsson) will play even "heavier" as they develop
  6. Sorry if this has been discussed already: 6'6" - Tage Thompson 6'6" - Owen Power [6'5" - UPL] 6'4" - Alex Tuch 6'4" - Mattias Samuelsson 6'3" - Rasmus Dahlin 6'3" - Dylan Cozens Girgensons, Mittelstadt, Quinn, Lyubushkin all 6'1" or taller
  7. His play strikes me as being too "cute;" he has good hands, but is not strong on the puck and coughs it up easily, and doesn't have a sense of when he does/doesn't have someone covering for him (a sense of when he could get away with a cute move)
  8. No, it would have been Sabres shorthanded: 2 for instigating, and 2 for roughing, with Boston just 2 for interference Edit: And then being down 1-0 during the Boston PP. I don't think that would have taught them not to run our goalie
  9. A couple of weeks ago, I said UPL's lateral movement did not seem at an NHL starter level. I swear I'm watching a different goaltender right now
  10. I don't mean to bring up "John" ...but I was worried we wouldn't have a constantly jaw-dropping player after he left. Tage has shown me otherwise
  11. I think Comrie has some things really going for him. He's got great movement and can anticipate plays. That's be swell if he could put it all together.
  12. I don't mean to be a downer, because it was a great game, but I saw UPL's lateral movement as being not sufficient to start in the NHL. On more than one occasion tonight, he got lucky when a shooter either half-whiffed or hit the side of the net (when Comrie or not-tired Anderson would have been there). I don't think his size will cover that up once the book is out on him. I hope I'm wrong!
  13. Comrie had that one game with all of those saves... And I actually think Comrie moves laterally far better than UPL But UPL was great tonight!
  14. LOL what was Skinner saying to him? "Why'd you do that?"
  15. Keep thinking I'm seeing Chris Gratton, Curtis Brown, Brian Holzinger, etc
