I figured as much. It's like twitter in here, people can just say anything they want with no facts at all.

Show me where you read this, this seems conjured up.

I don't believe that to be true, there are only 32 GM job openings in the NHL, if you're sitting on the couch or in a lesser role in some other orginization then I think this would be very appealing to a GM but I could be wrong. I really hated when Adams only went out and traded for Greenway, it was a great trade but we needed more but this whole "I don't want to block anyone" is garbage, who are you blocking? If there legit NHL players they'll find a way into the lineup. This guy just isn't good enough or experienced enough to make the necessary moves to get us not only in the playoffs but keep us there also.

I just don't believe this to be true at all, so everything they've done right is dumb luck, everything bad is because they meddle? And take Josh Allen out of the equation and what do you have? Ok take Tom Brady away from the Pats, take Patrick Mahomes from the Chief, that's a terrible argument imo. I'm pretty sure Pegula has alot of say at least on the hockey side of things but I don't think it's lack of trying at least for head coaches... He wen't with with old coaches Ted Nolan/Lindy Ruff/Dan Bylsma, new coaches in Ron Rolston/Phil Housley/Don Granato and the outside the box hire of Ralph Krueger. Also I don't think it was a lack of trying for players either as they drafted Jack Eichel and he stayed with matt Moulson's family, had Brian Gionta as captain while bringing in guys like Evander Kane, Ryan O'Reilly, Brandon Montour. Also drafting Sam Reinhart, Linus Ullmark amongst other and later even adding Taylor Hall. Where I think we've gone wrong since Regier is that every GM we hired was a 1st time GM, this time around we should go with a GM who has done it before and even if he wasn't successful lately I think having any sort of past success will be beneficial to us but that's my take on it.

I can't believe Adams said "We don't want to make a trade just to make a trade and block the future". Dude what future? So far his best draft pick is JJ Peterka and was gifted Zach Benson. Drafted Jack Quinn 8th overall 2020, Owen Power 1st- Isaak Rosen 14th in 2021, Matthew Savoie 9th- Noah Östlund 16th- Jiri Kulich 28th. Savoie is no longer with us, Quinn has been a monumental bust this year, Power is still struggling mightily defensively, Will Rosen ever make this team? I really like the prospects of Kulich, Östlund, Helenius and Novikov, not all of them will pan out is my guess and my gripe that I consistantly have with this team is that we can clearly see Quinn, Jokiharju and Power weighing this team down in some way, shape or form. I get not benching our 8M a year defensemen but there is no excuse parading Quinn and Jokiharju out there night after night. Let's see what we have in Rosen, bring back Ryan Johnson or give Novikov a shot but just hoping one of their games magically come back to life is beyond stupidity and I'll be perfectly honest I thought Ruff would have addressed these issues but he had accountability issues in New Jersey which I was weary of when we signed him.

We have another passer who is afraid to shoot in Kulich. Now we know what types Adams looks for, skilled passers who are timid shooters. -

He's the gift that keeps on giving. -
Why does Quinn get a pass? His achiles has nothing to do with him not being able to score goals, dude is lost in every sense of the word. Also wouldn't you try an bulk up a bit to be able to at least absorb hits? Not saying this so he can turn into a grinder/fighter just more so he can take those hits better. He goes down like a sack of potatoes way too often.

It’s pretty obvious, deal the ones who are weighing us down. I don’t want to hear this “everyone will refuse to play here”, didn’t Ehlers say he’d come here? Why is he still on Winnipeg? We didn’t even spend to the cap. Why would anyone go to a game when this organization clearly doesn’t care about its fans. This team still lacks motivation and heart some after spending 3-4 seasons with each other now.

If Quinn, Cozens and Jokiharju are on the ice against Winnepeg then there still is no accountability on this team.... They are all playing dreadful hockey. -

Another Sabres team I loathe by seasons end with a clueless GM and an owner who checked out. -

Pegula-Era Sabres: (Grit+Tenacity)/Skill
GoPuckYourself replied to DarthEbriate's topic in The Aud Club
Well if we're going to keep using the whole "We're the youngest team in hockey" schtik every season let's get rid of some of these kids and add some guys a few years older. Quinn, Rosen, Samuelsson (when he's finally healthy), Dylan Cozens. I mean package these guys with picks and get some players who contribute then we don't have to hear the built in excuse from the HC and players. -
Owen Power leads the NHL in even strength points for defenseman
GoPuckYourself replied to Big Guava's topic in The Aud Club
I almost spit out my coffee when I heard that, what a crock of *****. What league or coach would tell their biggest player to stop using his size to his advantage? Maybe in the peewee leagues is when it started and he just never did it again. I don't think physicality is a skill to work on I'm pretty sure it's just in you, maybe you can but I've never hear a HC ever say we had to teach him how to be physical but maybe I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. -

Also 3 wins minus Thompson and Greenway, that is very impressive and says alot about the message getting across from Ruff to the players. -

Reimer was fantastic, great PK, we played hard, we fought hard, liked the physicality when we needed it. Solid road wins, is this the start of our playoff run? We shall see!!! -
Speculation: What would you trade for Brady Tkachuk?
GoPuckYourself replied to freester's topic in The Aud Club
Yes I remember hearing this also, that is the risk you take with any rental but if you have a great environment around him there is no reason he can’t be persuaded to re-sign. If he is part of the reason we make it to the playoffs in 13 years I’m sure he’ll see how awesome the fan base can be. -

GoPuckYourself replied to freester's topic in The Aud Club
We wouldn't get Tkachuk unless at least 1 cornerstone piece+ others go back to Ottawa which would probably mean Power+ our 1st+ Kulich or Helenius + Quinn imo. I'd still be looking at Nikolaj Ehlers of WPG, he's only 28, tons of speed, top 20 in pts, +10, fits the solid defensive game were trying to play. He only has a year left on his deal so what he'd reasonably sign for if we acquire him would be the question. I'm thinking our 1st, Rosen and Jokiharju would possibly be enough.
