  1. Maybe if the Bills can claim the mountain so can UGA
  2. OC’s figured out how to take advantage of their mediocre secondary. They are very similar to the Fish on D. Taylor is their biggest threat. Fraser may have to play a 4-3 early to stop Taylor early, but I just don’t see a team with a mediocre secondary stopping the Bills for any length of time. If they can’t stop us, then they have to pass to stay in the game. I’ll take an Allen vs Rivers dual.
  3. Indy D analysis from Sportsnaut.com I like our chances.
  4. He said that himself. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/isaiah-mckenzie-next-man-up. He has been working with Roberts and Beasley to get better. It showed. He loves the Bills and wants to make a career here. He realized with Davis and Diggs coming in his spot was again in jeopardy and decided to become an everything guy to keep his job and secure his position long-term. So far so good. McDermott said he is one of the guys who keeps the locker-room fun and upbeat.
  5. Brown is the deep threat, and MacKenzie is the slot guy if Beasley can't go as he was against the Fish. Stills and another receiver were added to the practice squad. Stills only plays if Brown can't go. As to the Colts. They are ok, but if we can't handle their mediocre offense, we don't deserve to take the next step. Their D is good, on the same level as Miami. Miami, even after our 56 pts, is the 6th rated D at 21.1 Pts per game. Indy is 8th at 22.6.
  6. I guess 2021 is starting like 2020. A life well loved but still very sad. He was a big part of Sabres history.
  7. Cozens vs Zegras. If I had to guess, whichever has the better game, their team wins the gold.
  8. Granted JJ is not a great goalie, but it’s nice to see Joker shoot more.
  9. What about Jokiharju and his two goals? He adds offense to his solid game he could make a huge difference to this season’s outcome.
  10. Nice second half of the 2nd for team USA.
  11. Can't have too much good goaltending or in the Sabres case, not enough.
  12. Same move he tried while being hooked.
  13. The problem with facing the Bills right now is that they can score at anytime. We scored on 4 straight drives yesterday and seems something similar has happened in each of the last 6-7 weeks. Now add Browns seed down the field. The Colts can score and Reich is an excellent coach but his team isn’t good enough to go score for score with the Bills. 35-17 seems right.
  14. yeah, Dennison. I forgot they changed OCs, and we may have a new OC next year. That said, I still think he is a good fit and would be a substantial upgrade on Barkley.
  15. I agree. I hate to say it but would bringing in Tyrod Taylor as the backup next season make sense? He knows the system, is mobile and we know he can lead a team to the playoffs. He’d also be an interesting asset to bring in on wildcat and other formations.
  16. https://buffalonews.com/sports/sabres/mike-harrington-when-times-get-tough-sabres-want-eric-staal-to-show-the-way/article_f48451e0-4d10-11eb-b9cb-2f1209c2d554.html The gist of the article is that Staal adds leadership that will help prevent 6 game losing streaks. Nice thought but goaltending and not enough offense would have avoided the two bad streaks mentioned (Oct 28-Nov 14 & Feb 26-Mar 7, but also the 3 other streaks of bad play when the team went 1-4-1 (Nov 17-Nov 27), 1-6-1 (Dec 14-Dec 31) and 1-4-1 (Jan 18-Feb 2). The Sabres went 3-24-5 during these five droughts and the droughts included 9 blowouts (losses of 3 or more goals). Theses streaks included 3 losses to Ott and Det (including a 5-2 loss to Ott). Both goaltenders had their moments Hutton and Ullmark each accounted for 13 losses of the 29 (JJ got the other 3) although Hutton took 8 of the losses during the 2 streaks RK mentioned. There were also 11 one goal games. The Sabres finished 30-31-8. 24 of the regulation losses occurred in the 5 droughts. The same can't be said on the positive side. They started the season 9-2-1 and that was the high point. Only other measurable good streak was a 5-1 run in February. Both of the these positive streaks were followed by the two 6 game losing streaks. Adding Staal's leadership is great, but getting Staal's and Hall's offense is better. Replacing Hutton should have been on KA's priority list but somehow wasn't. Frankly RK needs to do a better job avoiding streaks on bad play.
  17. Oh come on, we love watching ND play in the CFP every year.
  18. Matt Barkley career stats 212-363 2699 yds 11td 22 int in 19 games. These are the stats of a terrible qb Matt Barkley Bills stats 53-97 788 yds 3td 4int in 8 games. Piss poor despite the bomb he connected on today. Anyone trust this guy to lead us to playoff victory? Didn't think so.
  19. He made quiet a statement by letting Barkley go deep in the 4th qtr even with the game out of reach. The statement is the Bills are all business and won’t take anything lightly.
  20. Wow! Tenn despite 8000 yards from Henry nearly (should have?) lost that game. Now 2 makes a huge difference. Balt and Tenn play each other and the survivor gets KC. The Bills now get Indy at 7 and assuming we beat Indy and the Steelers beat Cleve, we host Pitt in Buffalo. Wouldn't you rather host Indy and Pitt vs hosting Cleveland and then facing the Steelers on the road? Add that if Balt/Tenn somehow beat KC, then we host Balt/Tenn at home for the AFC.
  21. Tua doing his Matt Barkley impersonation.
  22. Barkley is just awful. How is this guy still in the NFL?
