Cozens is not waivers exempt. He can’t be sent down without clearing waivers snd would be claimed immediately. Quinn is probably nor waivers exempt either. The only way these guys can go down is on rehab assignments.

There is no question that a new GM needs Terry to move to the background. Maybe Ruff has enough pull with Terry to ask him to take a step back. Maybe Karmanis and Ruff can team up in the short-term to try to fix some things sooner than later and hopefully Terry sells the team this spring and thus allows a fresh look.

The gate and playoff revenue are huge factors in their P/L and thus the evaluation.

Why is Adams still employed?

A fair question. The answer is simple. We have seen enough the last few years to know there is real talent there. He is also on a cheap rookie deal and should be relatively cheap to extend on a bridge deal. He is having a terrible year and he is partially a victim of the lack of playmakers on this team. Is he part of the long-term solution? I don’t know, but patience here is warranted. So why not the same patience with Power or Krebs? Power is being paid like a top D but can’t play defense and there has been no progress in his in zone play. If he was on a 4 mill bridge deal I’d probably counsel patience, but he’s not. We can’t afford guys who don’t pull their contract weight. As to Krebs. He has made strides this season on his effort, but there is still no offense to show for it.

It's not enough because the group is missing playmakers on offense and any D who are actually competent in the D zone. Dahlin is the best of a sorry lot.

This is where we disagree. I don't think Power will ever be good defensively. He is to passive and is unwilling to use his size to his advantage.

Terry you have driven this franchise into the ground. Do yourself and the city and the fans a favor fire your Yes-Man Adams and sell the team. Give a willing owner the chance to hire competent management to fix this team. There is actually enough here to build from, but you and Adams are not the men for the job. The sad thing is that there is a core of something that could work, but the team is so mismanaged and the roster so poorly constructed the puzzle pieces will never work without a fresh look This is what we really have ????? To make this work Power, Cozens, Byrson, Joki, Krebs, Samuelsson, and Clifton all need to go. I like Zucker and I'd keep him until the deadline, trade him and then bring him back on another one year smaller deal. We need two playmakers hopefully at center. We need partners with a bent toward defensive play for Dahlin and Byram. We also need our D to be tougher and more physical.
