  1. They do seem to firm up closer to the actual draft. It's also why I say BPA doesn't really exist. To many variables on each teams draft board and each service's list. The math says the guys drafted after about 75-80 to the end of the draft have about the same chance of being an NHLer and the that % isn't very good.
  2. The Sabres don't have a 3rd in 2023 and I expect KA will have one by the Deadline. I'm also ok with getting picks and cap dumps for our limited trade pieces. These picks can then be packaged to help acquire the goaltending and Power partner that we need. As to VO being traded, while I'm firmly in the camp that KA should listen to offers and being open to taking a good one because I don't see him as a core piece, I believe it's much more likely that KA re-signs to a 3-4 year deal. To me the players to watch are Pysyk and Hinostroza. Both have done more then we hoped this season and would be good depth to keep next year. The question is where do they fit in KA's vision of the team if at all. The Athletic article on the partner for Power discusses what a good piece Pysyk is in the locker room. That could easily tip the scales in his favor regarding being re-signed.
  3. https://theathletic.com/3190345/2022/03/17/the-sabres-search-for-owen-powers-partner-scott-mayfield-luke-schenn-matt-dumba-and-other-potential-fits/ The Athletic now has a full story on potential partners for Power. Despite Caps fans comments to the contrary, I think Jensen is available. DeMelo is interesting especially considering they exposed him in the expansion draft. I love Stralman the player, and I guess he still has something in the tank. A two year deal would work and help get us to the cap floor. I like Braun as well as a value pickup. I'm surprised Jan Ruutta wasn't on their list. They also mention Pysyk as an internal candidate. I'm not a fan of this idea except bring Pysyk back as a 7/8 guy.
  4. The Braves built their new stadium a few miles from my house. I am now able to attend games periodically and it has brought me back as a fan. The game is still excellent in person. I get that teams simply waiting for a home run can be very boring. I'd kindly suggest going to games again and see if you feel the same way.
  5. I love that Beane is going for it this season before Josh Allen's contract becomes a huge cap weight. I'm also very proud of the Braves GM who despite huge media and fan related pressure made the gutsy decision to move on from Freddie Freeman (who I really like as a player and person) to live within his budget and actually IMHO have a better team in the end. By not re-signing Freeman but instead trading for Olson, AA freed up 15 to 18 mill to fix other holes in his World Series lineup. So far he has used the savings to retain NLCS MVP Eddie Rosario and to pick up very solid reliever McHugh. Gutsy and smart. I wish Freddie great success in his future, but am looking forward to another run by my Braves.
  6. Getting smaller and more athletic like Hasek vs 6'6" monsters?
  7. Me to especially with all the effort Beane has already put in to upgrade the DL the last year including the 2 guys already signed.
  8. I guess it’s Super Bowl or Bust.
  9. Amerks have always had the best jerseys
  10. Why is that different from sending Jankowski there in the first place? Mark played 252 NHL games before heading to Rochester after signing a contract and he's at least has had some legit NHL success in the depth role. What's Bjork accomplished? He's played 154 game in the NHL since last playing in the AHL. He has 6 points this season in 51 games. Jankowski had 5 in 19 games. Bjork is a terrible NHL hockey player and needs to go. He can follow Jankowski, Caggiula, Eakin and especially Hayden out the door. This isn't sending a former 30 goal scorer like Moulson down. It's getting rid of player how is who everyone knows (including himself) isn't contributing in meaningful way. The players might be said to see a friend go (however he was one of Jack's buddies), but they won't miss him one little on the ice. The players know change is coming in the next few. I think they'll be more annoyed if Vinnie gets traded. He is at least a contributor.
  11. Who says they have to lead the same way? Think of how different the attitude of this team has been since he arrived on the ice. He's leading by simply saying that he wants to be here and jump on my back and I'll help get you there. He's like a beacon of light in the dark tunnel of our rebuild.
  12. Nov 29th. The day Alex Tuch's first practice. That's the day, this group's Chris Drury, began fixing this team's culture.
  13. Unlike UPL, Miller had a 920 or better save % all 3 full AHL seasons. He probably would have been up a year earlier had it not been for the lockout.
  14. When Miller won the Hobey in 2001 (his Sophomore Year) he played 40 games with a 1.32 .952 with 10 shutouts and a 31-5-4 record Levi has played 30 game with a 1.47 .954 with 10 shutouts and a 21-8-1 record.
  15. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2022/03/16/buffalo-bills-eric-washington-mike-shula-sean-mcdermott/ Mike Shula hired as Senior Offensive Assistant. More ex-Panthers to the Bills.
  16. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
  17. This is better then the first GIF but.......
  18. One JAG down and so many more to go.
  19. He is getting shelled. He stopped 59 or 60 against UConn recently in a 3-1 win. In his last 6 games he has only given up 7 goals on 243 shots (1.17 gaa with a .971 save % on over 40 shots a game.).
  20. Levi is by far the biggest difference maker on any team in the NCAA and it isn’t even close. I also think Portillo is Michigan’s MVP and that is saying something. Their in zone D play isn’t stellar and they are so O minded that he often hung out to dry. He is sort of the college version of Grant Fuhr.
  21. Or talking team about his becoming the team Captain with a 3 year 12 mill extension. Or Adams was asking for help filling out his NCAA bracket.
  22. But how did the other 740k investment in Dell work out? Yes Anderson has played well in limited PT, but of course he got injured and missed half the season. No surprise given that only Hasek, Roloson and Thomas played more then 40 games in a season over 40 and only Thomas and Hasek played well in those seasons. This team needs to make a major step forward next season and hoping an ancient goaltender can carry the team is doomed to failure.
  23. Hopefully they are discussing our pressing need for better goaltending and who to pair with Power
  24. And why do we want to make the same mistake by relying on an unproven prospect and another $750 K vet goalie as his partner. It’s long past time to go out and actually fix the position with real players.
