Because Buffalo is a great hockey market and they want us to do well. It is also undeniable how dysfunctional the franchise is from top down. You have to be really inept to post an entire decade of non playoff teams in a sport that sends half each year. The statistical odds show we are the extreme outlier in not able to make it in once in an entire decade. These are facts. Only homers can deny this at this point.

Tough question. Bills seem to be on the right road. He's a good guy and very generous but at the same time the Sabres are extremely, very extremely, dysfunctional.

More competent than anyone we've had behind the bench since Lindy left.

I would be a lot more optimistic if RK was moved upstairs and they brought in a proven NHL coach like Gallant or Laviolette.

Perspective. Keep in mind Florida and Edmonton hold the longest playoff drought at ten years. We are at 9 and starting over as we just cleaned house. Without 4 to 6 really good moves and relatively quick, we could officially hold the new record and set the standard of ineptitude. Astonishing.

Risto is clearly communicating “I want out for goodness sakes”. I still think he’s a very good player that’s been hampered by this franchise. It’s a shame but I can understand I needs a change of scenery.

JBot got nothing for ROR. Worst trade in modern history. Keep ROR and we’d be in the playoffs right now. His plan to gut our center spine was an epic failure. Then overpaid for Skinner. It seems he has no real plan honestly.

Jack will want out soon. It’s inevitable and you can’t blame him. Risto is beyond done and that is clear. This is truly hockey hell.

One only has to look at what’s going on at One Bills Drive to see a stark difference in the same amount of time.

Sad to think this would be the last truly great magical moment at the arena for now 13 years and counting .

Compare him to Beane. Whether BB takes us to the promised land remains to be seen. But he has done about everything he could to set up the Bills for success with the hand played to him. 3 years and 2 playoff appearances with a legit shot at the division next year. Quite different at First Niagara.
