I'll agree with this. Every single place I've eaten from in Buffalo is 1000X better than at home. Hawaiian is straight up either you love it or hate it. Almost anything you can pick off a pizza and not gag eating the slice except pineapples (well maybe olives too). Don't like (for whatever reason) peperoni, or green peppers or whatever else then no big deal picking that off. But pineapples

Pineapples on pizza. What? They run out of anchovies?

Just want to add how enjoyable it has been to read your posts this year MODO. Very excited to see you will be sticking around.

I will be shocked I (ok maybe just very surprised) if Murray takes Sergachev.

That's good to hear as I know if you've been critical of him this season (not unjustified). I like Ullmark as well but the way he played the second half of the season pumps the breaks on anointing him the future starter of the team. Here's to hoping both guys can take a big step next season.

Great discussion on trading 8 for Fowler here boys. I think I'm leaning toward the Randall side of things. Some have put together a compelling case that we can afford Stamkos at $11 mil per. So I'm not worried that in 2 years time and we have to pay Fowler $7 or $7.5 that we can't afford Risto/Eichel/Reinhart. Remember Molson comes off the books in 3 years and that'll offset part of the raises for Eich/Reinhart. Now, saying the 8th pick has more value than Fowler is debatable. I agree that the 3 dmen that may be available at 8 could turn into a better player than Fowler. But two big things: one is we don't have to wait for the development and we can start taking a run at this thing next year while Eich/Reinhart are still on ELC, and two, they wouldn't be the first rookie dmen to bust around that draft position. Never guarantees and we atleast know what Fowler is.

* Sabres pick 9th and end up taking someone a little unexpected (such as Keller or McLeod) with which the board negatively over reacts but player ends up working out (similar to Risto a few years ago). Also, this pick occurs despite one of the top 3 dmen still on the board * Keith Yandle is signed as a free agent * Risto signs a 8 year $6 mil per deal * Vessey and Calugglia sign with Sabres * Despite starting on the third pairing Jake McCabe takes a big step forward and is again a regular in the top 4 and one of our better dmen * Johnson does not resign * Lehner plays atleast 50 games and becomes a fan favorite

Dubois or Nylander if we don't win the lottery please and thank you. Also, not sure this belongs in the trade thread or here. If we end up with pick 8 is he worth Cam Fowler straight up? Who would have to add?
-
I'll take a win and an OT loss please. That'll give us a nice 82 point season but still guarantee us not worse then 9th pre-lottery.

Loving the pros and cons of who to take at 2. But the odds of us picking in the top 3:
-
I'm really hoping for a top 10 pick. Have not read any hype for anyone ranked past 10. Buffalo currently sits in draft slot 9 prior to the lottery with 79 points and 2 games to go. Teams that we can still pass: Ottawa 81 points 2 games to play NJ 82 points 2 games to play Colorado 82 points 2 games to play If we win out and those three lose out we could still end 12th pre-lottery. I know I didn't want to cheer for losses but even one more loss (even in OT) and the worst draft spot we can be is 10th pre-lottery. I think the drop off is right at about 10 this season and the difference between picking 12th vs 10th is far greater than picking 10th vs 6th or 7th.

We made an offseason avatar bet. If the Sabres draft in the top 5 then he picks my avatar. Outside of the top 5 and I pick his. This is true, but I just don't like our odds. I like the breakdown. Didn't realize we would have such a high percentage chance moving down. Ugh.

Hey Pi, I'm planning a nice avatar for you

Nice thanks for that. Is it October yet?

This is amazing

'Stuck' in Florida with no feed of the game. Anyone with a gif of the goal?

I really like this point. So true.

It's going to be such an interesting draft. After the top 3 there is no consensus between picks 5-8 or 9. I see Juolevi anywhere from 4 to 12. Your boy Dubois also keeps creeping up the standings to a point where it's going to be tough for us to draft him. A top 10 pick should bring in a pretty good player.

Yes, yes I was. My bad.

I thought I remember that they did but he wouldn't even give them a meeting. That was the year we 'settled' on Leino wasn't it :wallbash:

Ryan O'Reilly lower-body injury; could be out "several weeks"

Yep agreed with all of this. As others have mentioned this injury may have been a nice blessing in disguise (especially if the injury isn't long lasting which it appears it isn't). I love this new core. Actually fun watching them and it's crazy/scary to think what they are doing at such a young age. -

Sabres go 4-5-2 with ROR out of the lineup. Wasn't an overly difficult schedule but that's probably a better record than I expected by a point or two.
