Honestly, this makes a lot of sense; Buffalo has much to offer even with our current ten year drought. One of the best NHL fanbases without too much media pressure, Eichel, near Canada, wealthy ownership etc It would not shock me at all if he signs with us after this season. The initial signing was a shock of course, but an extension will not be.

Yes, that’s how I remember it. Vancouver rushed him after one good year in the AHL, had a log jam with Sedin and Kessler so they traded him. He had a solid first season playing 2C (?) but eventually we then shoved him in the bottom six. I remember his second season was awful.

If memory serves, didn’t we spoil Cody Hodgson by rushing him after the Kassian trade and then sticking him with bottom six wingers?

Canadian folks, please help me out with something. My wife and mother in law think that French Canadian is a different ethnicity than French, but I think it’s the same, just with Canadian nationality. Am I wrong? This came up when mentioning that my grandmother's side was French Canadian.

I want this gold so bad, have been bitter against Team Canada since Crosby scored on Miller in 2010. Since then always have paid attention to international play. Love the throwback jerseys too.
