Had to bail out after the 2nd.  I had no expectation that they would win this one.  They were lucky to come out of the first with a close score.  The old man was solid.  They had a better 2nd but it still felt scrambly and disorganized.  The Sabres certainty didn’t establish that they were the better team up through that point.

Was overall play in the 3rd favoring the Sabres, or was it more a case of VO capitalizing and Buffalo hanging on?

VO had 2 ENs within 10-15 seconds near the end of the 3rd.

This is disturbing on so many levels. I could be wrong, but I feel like she opened her mouth and divulged more than what needed to be said without having proper legal counsel - if any. As much as I despise Gloria Allred’s tactics, even she has a clue of how much she and her clients need to say whenever they level accusations to build their cases - attorney/client privilege notwithstanding. So, if it’s all true, he’s in a world of hurt; but if not, she’s ruined his good name and should be held to account.

It looks like a 96 point pace is too low. I guess i should make it 98.

Do i need to make the reference line flat to determine how many points above or below the line we are or is the current angled slope fine for this purpose?

I was listening to Boomer Gordon and his broadcast pal yesterday on the NHL Network on SiriusXM when they were making their predictions for the season. Boomer was saying 98 as well.

From what I read, one of the ways is to have either a computer or an accomplice feeding to a buzzer attached to the body somewhere(leg, shoe, um....other places). It can't really tell them exactly what move to play, but it can inform them "hey, look at the board, there's a good play here you might not be thinking of" or something like that. So you still need to be a very good player to even hang with the best of the best, but it could certainly give you an edge.

It was interesting that @Marvin brought up Maxim Dlugy earlier in this thread. He had called out a player in a tournament a number of years ago for using a cheating device in his shoes. Then he was caught cheating a few years later.

Whatever the case may be, cheaters are like identity thieves: they can and will come up with deft ways to get what they want, regardless if they ruin their own reputation.

Yes. Three wrongs don’t make a right.

The neurologist made “several mistakes”, then McDaniels put him back out there with the lie about his back. No decent human being serving as coach having seen Tua in that condition would put him back in. I don’t care if Tua begged. You have a responsibility as coach to protect your players.
Then he’s playing a few days later!?

That scene of him all knarled up was tough for me to see. That’s a significant brain injury.

    No acceptable excuse for me.

    McDaniels doesn’t belong.

It’s one thing to hate a division rival because we play them twice during the regular season. It’s quite another when  that team loses the respect of the entire nation - and rightfully so.

Bengals will make easy work of the dolphins

That’s what I’m thinking. Miami fans think that just by barely getting by the Bills that their team is automatically going to the Super Bowl. Every team still has 14 games to go.

I think everyone understands this, just seems odd that the league allows a team to trade away a retired players rights just for the salary cap hit, and then that player can still go an take another job with a different team in the league

I’ll be the first to admit that I have no clue how CBAs work. A lot of you guys are much better versed on these things than I am. Having said that, it seems to me that with the way it worked out, there weren’t any issues that would have been cause for legal and ethical concerns. Right? Wrong? Yes? No?

BTW, I am not asking for a friend.

A tough loss against a good team in less than ideal conditions.

The Bills could have easily won this one.  No team will win them all.  I think that a few questionable coaching calls cost them the game more than anything else.  That said, it seemed the the heat was a factor in the offense execution as the game went on.  At this time of year in south Florida I think this should have been a night game.

The Bills are and will continue to be fine.

Not to mention that the Dolphins will be found in the frozen food aisle at Wegmans in December this season. 😁

What was said about monarchy can be said about religions. Monarchies and religion both exist to suppress by and large. The only difference is one claims you’ll be rewarded for your subservience and the other doesn’t pretend to beat around the bush.

We are free to both agree and disagree. There’s not enough space on here to explain both sides and the respective examples, but there are more than enough facts to go both pro and con.

I don’t know if people are dancing around the topic due to her death, I will not.

Regardless if Elizabeth was a good person who had admirable qualities, the notion of “royal blood“ and hereditary monarchy is vile. Abhorrent. Appalling.

You’re labeled a king or a queen because of some family tyrant murdered people before you? ***** you. You think your blood is any different than anyone else on earth? ***** you. You think you deserve to ***** on a golden throne by birthright? ***** you.

In the year 2022, this concept is entirely disgusting and it has been for decades.

There is some hope the children are seeing this farcical cosplay horseshit for what it is and will reject it. Let’s hope we see Buckingham palace turn into a Spirit Halloween in our lifetime. Good riddance to this trash.

Hereditary monarchy is eugenics adjacent. When you start elevating the genes of one person over another, it leads to bad outcomes.

I respectfully disagree with you on account of the fact that monarchies are about as old as civilization itself. Even if any of us look upon the Scriptures just from a historical perspective, monarchs have always been around. Even if we add republics into the equation, that form of government has also had wise and foolish rulers. Nonetheless, regardless of what form of government a country has, some ordinary people will be happy while others will not.

Domestically, the BBC has told those facing a long winter in which they will not be able to afford to heat their homes that their suffering is “insignificant” compared to that of the family of a 96-year-old woman who died peacefully in the lap of luxury.

Big difference between her and Marie Antoinette. The latter made the ill-fated mistake of telling French subjects, “let them eat cake” when they had no bread.

I was not looking forward to the rehash of the previous punter’s story on national television.

And then the team doesn’t punt the whole game. Well that handles that!

I’m still in awe sometimes that this is my favorite team.

Sam Martin did earn his pay last night, as placeholder for Tyler Bass. Not bad for 60 minutes worth of work.

Are there seriously guys who give a flying F what the F other guys wear? And then based on the guys income, care to another level? I mean really? God I’m glad I’m not hung up on what Terry wears/doesn’t wear.

It always amuses me when people want to pretend that they’re Mr. Blackwell - regardless if it’s their attire, what house they own, what yacht they own, what car they own and drive, etc. And yet, some of the Uber-rich have no qualms about keeping it simple, like Sam Walton and his 1979 Ford pickup truck.
