He lets in too many softies, his rebound control is suspect and he can't make a save in the SO to save his life. Other than that he's a serviceable goalie in the NHL. Due to our roster, we need a goal to steal games and he's just not capable IMO.

Asplund had 4 helpers today. I'm intrigued with him. Hopefully it transfers to the NHL. I share your observation. USA has trouble in the games that count against Canada at multiple levels.

Nice post Radar, I think this all goes to show that owners with money and good intentions don't equate to winning. I was quick to drink the kool-aid but in hindsight I should have been more reserved.

I believe Guhle is stuck in juniors until his season ends (unless we have another emergency call-up on defense). Commenting on the original post, I don't want to see them move Sam. He's going to be an integral part of this team in the future. The current system and the inability of the point shooters to get pucks on net is impacting his numbers. Hard to tip in pucks that get blocked.

If DD couldn't win with Sid, Malkin, Letang, and Fleury executing his "system" then this team is going to have no chance. Also, look at Pittsburgh last year, underachieving, fired the coach and got Sullivan. Went on to win the Cup. Coaching and the system can make all the difference.

A mid-season coaching change is overdue... you cannot lose your future superstar. DD is the wrong guy for the job. GMTM make the change.

We suck

DD doesn't even start the game with our top line, from the first minute he's worried about match ups versus making our opponent worry about matching their shutdown line with our top line. This is a pet peeve of mine. Further, put Jack on the PK for Christ sake, his speed will change the dynamic because the defenders will have to worry about a shorty. The pk can't get any worse.

McClellan is a damn good coach, Edmonton will be good for a while... and so will Toronto once their young guys get some seasoning. We are only a coach away. The older players contracts will end. We will be ok. DD is the wrong person for this franchise.
