I'm with Quick on this one. Censorship is the tool of oppressors. I generally stay away from responding to politics but I don't mind reading others opinions... and I actually found some of the comments quite cheeky This election has really ignited some strong feelings within me and what I think being an American means. If what just happened doesn't stir up some emotions then I don't know what to say. I feel that freedom to post and talk amongst friends is critical to coping and creating an environment of understanding.

I'm late to the conversation but I'll still give my opinion... I would give Gio a 1-year contract, $2-2.5M. Ask him to concede the C to ROR and continue to mentor the youth. He remains extremely serviceable, not a defensive liability and can score/create offense. The Gio-Larsson-Foligno line plays hard and are consistent, something this team desperately needs. Unless the tires fall off between now and the end of their season, I think he's still got gas in the tank.

Sam will be the key component when we win a Stanley Cup. He was a leader his entire amateur career. He's a class act with elite talent and driven to improve. His hockey IQ is as good as it gets. Only a fool would trade Sam because of the start of this season.
