I like this trade a lot for several reasons, first, we addressed a need at D and I think Nathan will make an immediate impact. Second, this is a solid add for low $$$. We've been chasing the big names in free agency for years now and it hasn't gotten us much. It's refreshing to see our GM strengthen the roster via trade for a solid value addition and not "a splash." I really believe JBot understands how to build a winner. Better times are coming our way. Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there.

I think this is a bit harsh. I dare you to look back at yourself when you were in your early 20's. People make mistakes and I thought that I had heard he's really matured in the past couple season... hence his 100 point season in '15-16. He's the best wing in the game.

I'd take the P Kane for Sam + 8. That would be cheap for a guy with his skill and experience. 100 point players are an extremely rare breed these days. I love Sam but this is a no brained to me.
