I'm digging the newest Bon Iver album (22, A Million). It may be a little out there for some listeners but it's pure genius to me. CREEKS and 22 GOD are a good place to start for the newbies.

Another name available (and I am by no means advocating for him) is Therrien. It was Ruff's time for a change of scenery. Part of me likes the nostalgia of bringing him back, but the pragmatic side of me says the Sabres need to find a different option if DD is let go. My guess is that the fire no longer burns as intensely inside Lindy these days. The prospect of Housley has me intrigued. Although I will admit I don't have much to base it on.

Is this an example where a coach (McLellan) gets more out of a player?

I bet DD can't pee when someone stands next to him. Potential reasons he hasn't built a relationship with the players: 1. He thinks that being their friend weakens his ability to effectively manage (which is reasonable). 2. He thinks he knows what is best and doesn't value their input. 3. He doesn't like confrontation and therefore avoids it 4. He is clueless and didn't realize this is an issue (most probably and scariest) I'm sure there are more.

Are you defending him? So what if there were stretches within a season when one or more of those players I mentioned were hurt? Pittsburgh is more than those three but I was simply trying to make a point. There is no arguing that they decided to move away from Bylsma because he was unable to get it done in the post season, or maybe you prefer to blame that on Fleury.

I watched Peterson first hand when ND played BU a month or so ago. He was alright. Started very strong but then let in 4 goals and lost the game. He made some excellent stops but I'm still skeptical that he's our future #1. I hope I'm wrong. Goalie's are a different breed. I think it's very difficult to predict if they will develop into NHL caliber that's why so many are taken in the later rounds. We need to unearth a gem, someone who can steal a game. What are the chances Asplund plays on this side of the pond in '17-18? I'd like him in Rochester with Alex growing into the NA game.
