    TV said that was Pomenvilles 2nd goal, but wasn't it his 3rd? He got a deflection in Carolina and a shot against Montreal to add to tonight's goal. He is on pace for 82 goals!

     

     

    He got the goal in the first game taken away and given to Kalinin after the coaches reviewed the film...

    Is the score is 3-1 Sabres? What period is it?

    I was at the game and I can tell you that once the refs started calling penalty after penalty, the place just went insane. That was easily the loudest regular season game that I can remember. It sounded like a Guatamalan insane asylum in there.

     

    The best games are always the ones where a riot almost breaks out over the officiating. I swear people were coming up with entirely new noises to make near the end.

     

     

    Man it sounded loud tonight! You'd have thought it was late May...

    I kinda know what you mean. It doesn't seem right that any of us should actually believe that we have a great shot at winning the Cup. We are fans of Buffalo sports teams and we always, always, get kicked right in the groin. I felt this way for most of last season. We'll blow it, we'll hit the skids, our goaltending will fall apart, we won't hit the open net to win the game.

     

    But that team last year never, ever gave up, on themselves, or the game. They were downright dangerous in the third period of almost every game. They didn't blow the shot. They made the save or, when the goalie was beat, a defenseman cleared the puck out of harms way. I got so that I stopped waiting for Sabres to blow it and just sat back and enjoyed the ride. I'm going to try and do the same this year, right out of the box, starting tonight.

     

     

    I thought the same thing last year. They never showed that "Buffalo" psyche though, and that is why I have high hopes for this year...

    Corp was saying yesterday how cool it was to have hockey back so soon. Last night, the Leafs continued their scoreless steak against the Sabres to over five months. Throw in that April 16th game was their last meaningful game. Now that is cool...

    It's game 7, anthing goes... Hopefully the sabres have not run out of gas, but if numminen is not able to go, at least we'll have 6 defensemen to play the full game. Wow, what an end to game 6, however, this is game 7... Everything is thrown out the window, and Anything goes! Series ties 3 games to 3. Next team to blink loses. GO SABRES!!!

     

    Hopefully you will get to have a great time!
