  1. Reinhart’s shot has been consistently improving year over year. He is getting to the point where it may actually be above average. When he came into the league it was pretty weak.
  2. Thanks for the correction. I knew Sudbury was loading up for the playoffs, I thought their record was a bit better though. My bad.
  3. Please. All those middle 6 guys. Sheary, Vesey, Frolik, Asplund, Larsson, Okposo would be All Star level or close to it in the AHL. Johansson would be like AHL MVP or something. Guys like Matt Moulson, Nathan Gerbe, Chris Terry are top AHL players.
  4. You could be right. I’m thinking like a Alex Keerfoot/Jean-Gabriel Pageau type of player as his ceiling. We probably wont know until he gets an extended look in the NHL. He is already putting up around a point per game in a league nearly the quality of the AHL at age 22.
  5. Vancouver is in the middle of a 5 game road trip. They have been out scored 14-4 in the first 2 games. Im predicting a 3-1 Sabre’s win this afternoon. Goals by Okposo, Reinhart and Ike with the EN.
  6. Why do you think that? He seems to be quite a versatile player.
  7. This is kind of my view. Buffalo hasn’t done bad at finding NHL players. It’s not that they’ve drafted a bunch of guys who flamed out. It’s that they have done a bad job of drafting/acquiring impact players. Not enough guys who have developed into high end players.
  8. Probably like a 3rd liner who plays a solid 2 way game and can chip in a little scoring, ~15 goals/30-35 pts, despite being undersized. That’s my expectation.
  9. Nah. Possibly a few games in the AHL at the end of the season though. 5 assists in one game is pretty impressive, but he is playing on a line with Quinton Byfield, the probable #2 player in the upcoming draft, and Sudbury is a very good team. Pekar is probably going to put up crazy numbers the rest of the season.
  10. Bonino I would say is more of a high end 3C. He is having a career year, points wise. Henrique I would call a decent 2C. I mean, he scores 20-25 goals every season. What’s that? A 3rd/4th liner?
  11. I think they need to add 2 top-6 forwards. One of which being a solid 2C.
  12. Why do you think that Pageau could get a deal like that. I think there is absolutely no way. He is getting used like a 1st line C right now and he is going to put up like a 55 pt season with solid defense. If he goes back to being a #3 or middle 6 C he is going to be putting up 30-40 points w solid D just as he has for years now and making $6M??? Between the two, give me Granlund.
  13. They already did this in the year 2014ish. They ditched everyone who was any good. Do you think perhaps it’s difficult to build a culture of winning, hard work and effort while loosing tons of games because the team has no talent? Also, you in particular keep flopping back and forth on this. When they win you say they put forth good effort, when they lose you say they don’t try hard and everything needs to be blown up. I think the more likely explanation is that St Louis is a very good team and Buffalo can not match them on a player by player level.
  14. Never saw it. I’d recommend the book though.
  15. You missed the joke. Went right over your head. 1984
  16. Lol, Duck! That one almost took your hat off!
  17. I’ve got none on hand. I’ve seen it written about before though. If I come across anything I’ll try to remember to send it your way.
  18. This thread is for trade RUMORS and SPECULATION. Rumors are often not true or don’t come to pass.’ Speculation is literally just made up stuff. With this in mind, the content of this thread should not surprise.
  19. I don’t know about that. I think he was about as sheltered as was possible. He was the 9th forward by avg ES TOI and he led the team in OZ start % at over 70%! I suppose he could have gotten 9 mins per night on the 4th line with a couple plugs, but I don’t think that would have been any better for him. I think he is the type of guy who needs to play on an offensively focused line with decent line mates, and if he isn’t ready to produce in that role then he shouldn’t be in the NHL yet.
  20. If you are implying that Mitts got heavy mins in the first half of 2018-19, that’s not really true. Just 13:13 before the all star break compared to 13:50 after.
  21. Concussion? He was upended and came down on his arm awkwardly. I thought he hurt his shoulder. I don’t think he hit his head at all.
  22. While it’s true there is no formal affiliation between CHL and NHL clubs, NHL teams do exert influence on CHL teams regarding how their prospects are handled. Sometimes, a lot of influence.
