They went the CHL route in the same scenario last year. Yes, the forward talent in the top half of the 1st is really good it seems. Beyond Lafreniere and Byfield, there is Stutzle and Rossi who are both very dynamic potential stars. Then there is Raymond, Holtz, Lundell. I’m hoping that Buffalo can come away with one of those 7 forwards, but even beyond that there is Perfetti and Holloway who I don’t like as much but some people love. Then there are guys like Mercer, Mysak, Zary, Bourque, among others, who could come on strong

It was all a joke really. People call Sam a passenger and say he picks up all these garbage assists off of Eichel. This was an example of Eichel picking up a point off a great play by Sam (and Vesey). Just playing off of that.

So you feel pretty confident that Lazar, Okposo, Sheary, or Vesey would have made the same pass just as well to spring the 2 on 1???

In there it says that Rossi is 5’8 1/4” and 170lbs. That can’t be correct. Old numbers? Also says Stutzle is 6’1” 187 and I didn’t think he was that big. Ranking him over Byfield and Perfetti at 4 are flaming hot takes.

I would say he will probably fall right around $7M, but that the going rate for a good, top 6 player. What concerns you about his work ethic? He continues to improve his game year after year.

If you work it out, they will have enough to resign anyone they want, and enough left over to add a player making several million ($4-7M). But how much left over they actually have will also depend upon if they have any penalties incurred from ELC bonuses paid this year.

There is money for both right now. It’s not going to be a choice between Reinhart and Okposo this offseason. The actual choice is: Okposo at $6M OR (whoever you could acquire with that $6M) - (whatever it costs to move Okposo)

You should watch it again. He made a great pass to hit Eichel in stride as he entered the neutral zone, springing the 2 on 1. He doesn’t get credit for Jack’s brilliance, but he did have a direct impact on that play.

Big take away from this game: Its a been a trend in the past couple, is the PP on the right track?

Even a good face off guy loses 45/100 times. I don’t put a lot of stock in it, but it can be important situational. Like that situation.
